Rotary boring tool alignment device and system
A device and system for a rotary boring tool that enables a user to align the tool with respect to a target work surface is disclosed. The alignment system includes a rotating member that is mounted on the rotating portion of a rotary boring tool, and a separate portable stationary member that is designed to reside on the work surface. The rotating member includes a focused light source, such as a laser, that projects a light beam parallel to the direction of the rotary boring tool bit onto the stationary member which reflect the beam and produces a visible pattern on the surface of the stationary member that indicates alignment or misalignment of the rotary boring tool with respect to the work surface.
ROBOT DRILLING CLAMP
A clamp for a robotic drill and related method and system for robotic drilling of a component. The clamp attaches to a drilling tool of a robotic drill. The clamp includes: an attachment portion configured for attachment to the drilling tool; a frame linearly moveable relative to the attachment portion along a central axis of the clamp parallel to a drilling direction of the drilling tool; an actuation mechanism including a servo motor configured to drive linear movement of the frame relative to the drilling tool; a workpiece contacting portion at a distal end of the frame, including a surface for contacting a surface of a workpiece to be drilled and an aperture allowing for passage of a drill bit of the drilling tool through to the workpiece surface; and a force sensor arranged to measure a force acting on the workpiece contacting portion in the drilling direction.
Drilling tool
A drilling tool includes: a drive source; a bit attachment portion to which an end bit is attachable; a power transmission portion configured to apply a motive force to the end bit attached to the bit attachment portion; an operation portion switchable between an ON-state and an OFF-state by a manual operation and configured to receive a setting operation for setting a stop condition; and a controller configured to set the stop condition based on the setting operation, and to start driving of the drive source in response to a first switching operation for switching the operation portion from the OFF-state to the ON-state. In a state where the stop condition is set, even when the operation portion is in the ON-state, the controller stops driving of the drive source in response to the stop condition being met while the drive source is being driven.
Systems and Methods for Conduit Deburr
Systems and methods for conduit deburring include rotational bits and/or supporting structure for reducing burrs on conduit or other pipe or tubing, which often result from cutting. Certain devices simultaneously act on an entire circumference of a tubular end opening. Other devices act on only a portion of a circumference of a tubular end opening, but are guided, registered, or oriented for travel along the circumference to cut a chamfer of a predetermined angle along an interior edge thereof.
Machining Station and Method for Machining Workpieces
The disclosure relates to a machining station for machining platelike workpieces (1) by means of at least one tool (10, 13, 14). The machining station has a measuring device (16) for acquiring data relating to the position of bores, a drill (10, 13, 14) for generating bores in the workpiece (1), and a data processor (17) for processing data of the at least one measuring device (16) and/or for controlling the at least one drill (10, 13, 14). The data processor (17) is here suitable and set up for performing an adjustment between a desired drilling position and/or a desired bore depth and an actual position and/or actual depth as determined by the at least one measuring device (16) for a bore present in the workpiece (1), and adapting the drilling position and/or bore depth for generating bores by means of the at least one drill (10, 13, 14).
System and method for integrated surgical guide-hub and drill with guided drilling and plunge protection
A drilling system includes a guide-hub that includes contact feet configured to be placed against a drilling surface to maintain a fixed angle with the drilling surface. A drilling insert includes a drill bit and a harness. The drilling insert is configured to be inserted into the guide-hub and the harness is configured to detect when the drill bit punctures the drilling surface and automatically prevent further drilling.
SELECTION SYSTEM HAVING IMPROVED AXIAL LOCKING
A selection system, comprising: a sheath defining an internal housing extending in a longitudinal direction; a link rod disposed in said internal housing, and extending in the longitudinal direction; and a selection slide mounted to slide in the internal housing, about the link rod; the link rod being held stationary relative to the sheath against movement in translation in the longitudinal direction by stop means; the system being characterized in that the stop means comprise: a base that is a body of revolution and includes a conical portion; and a shell comprising two shell portions each including a conical portion configured to come to bear in plane manner against the conical portion of the base.
Chuck
A rotatable chuck for clamping a shank portion of a rotatably operating machining tool includes a rotatable chuck body provided with a cylindrical bore concentric with a rotation axis of the chuck body. The circumferential surfaces of a clamping portion of the bore are arranged to apply a clamping force around the circumference of the shank portion of the tool when it is mounted in the chuck to fixate the tool in the chuck. The chuck is provided with auxiliary pull out preventing means for preventing inadvertent pull out of the tool in the axial direction of the bore during machining operation, as well as auxiliary rotary preventing means for preventing inadvertent rotation in at least one direction in relation to the chuck during machining operation. The auxiliary pull out and rotary preventing means include an attachment member positionable in an inner portion of the bore and attachable to the shank portion to be clamped, such that the tool and the attachment member will be prevented from being pulled apart in the axial direction and from being rotated in at least one direction in relation to each other.
STOP FOR A DRILLING, MILLING OR COUNTERSINKING TOOL
The invention relates to a stop for a rotating drilling, milling or countersinking tool which comprises a stop sleeve which is freely rotatably coupled, by means of a sliding or rolling bearing, around the tool. A first bearing bush of the bearing supports the stop sleeve. A second bearing bush of the bearing sits in a rotationally fixed manner on a shaft sleeve. The shaft sleeve can be pushed and fastened on a shaft of the tool. In a secondary aspect, the invention relates to a drilling, milling or countersinking tool having such a stop.
COUNTERSINKING DEVICE AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
A countersinking device includes an internal bore positioner adapted for receipt by a bore defined by a workpiece. A driver rod engaged with the internal bore positioner extends outwardly of the bore through a bore opening. A centering chuck, engaged about and axially movable along the driver rod, is configured to engage the bore opening to cooperate with the internal bore positioner to align the driver rod along a longitudinal axis of the bore. A counterbore is engaged about the driver rod, opposite the centering chuck from the internal bore positioner. The counterbore is rotatable about and is configured to be axially advanced along the driver rod to engage the bore opening and countersink the bore. A countersink depth control arrangement is associated with the counterbore and cooperates therewith to countersink the bore to a predetermined depth. An associated method is also provided.
