FEED CONTROL DEVICE FOR DRILL PRESS
A feed control device for a drill press includes a case and a spindle unit extends perpendicularly through the case. The spindle unit includes a shank and a spindle which has a toothed portion formed to the outer periphery thereof. A depth detection unit is located beside the toothed portion. A driving unit is located at the rear end of the case and includes a motor and a belt which is connected between the motor and the shank. A feed unit includes a gear, a shaft and a feed handle. The shaft extends horizontally through the case and is perpendicular to the toothed portion. The feed handle is connected to the left end or the right end of the shaft of the feed unit so that right-handed or left-handed users can operate the feed handle. A control unit is electrically connected to the motor and the depth detection unit.
Pocket hole jig
A pocket hole jig includes base with a base plate and first and second lateral side walls extending along the base plate, and a body disposed between the first and second lateral side walls and slidable along the base in a forward direction and a rearward direction. The body includes a drill bit aperture angled downward toward the base plate. The pocket hole jig also includes a fence movable between a raised position and a lowered position and having a contact surface engageable with an end of the workpiece when the fence is in the lowered position to position the base a predetermined distance from the end of the workpiece. The contact surface is in a first position when the fence is in the raised position and a second position when the fence is in the lowered position. The second position is forward of the first position.
Position feedback control method and power tool
Various embodiments of power tool and method of operating same are described. The power tool may include a first position sensor, a second position sensor, a third position sensor, and a controller. The first, second, and third position sensors may each generate a signal indicative of a distance between the respective position sensor and a workpiece. The controller may determine one or more angles of the power tool with respect to the workpiece based on the first, second, and third signal and present an indication as to whether the one or more angles are within a predetermined range. The controller may further obtain a depth measurement based on the first signal, the second signal, and the third signal and generate, based on the obtained depth measurement, one or more control signals that control operation of the power tool.
POCKET HOLE JIG
A pocket hole jig includes a base having a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. The base further including a drill bit aperture positioned proximate the first end and extending through a portion of the base. The drill bit aperture oriented at an acute angle relative to the longitudinal axis. The pocket hole jig further includes a fence pivotally coupled to the base proximate the second end of the base. The fence including a contact surface, and the fence pivotal about an axis transverse to a longitudinal axis of the drill bit aperture.
