HOLDER FOR A VIBRATION-ASSISTED CUTTING TOOL
A holder provided for mounting of a lathe cutter includes a carrier, a first joint seat, a second joint seat, a limit rod and a clamp member. The first and second joint seats are disposed on a first and second base of the carrier respectively. The lathe cutter is mounted between the first and second joint seats. The limit rod is inserted into a through hole of the lathe cutter, and a first and second ends of the limit rod are coupled to the first and second joint seats respectively. The clamp member is disposed on the limit rod. The clamp member and the second joint seat are provided to clamp the lathe cutter to separate the lathe cutter from the first and second bases.
PROCESSING TOOL
A deburring tool includes a body including a cylinder chamber having a tool holder holding hole, and an anti-rotation body holding hole; a tool holder having an anti-rotation groove and disposed in the cylinder chamber to reciprocate in the cylinder chamber; a first elastic body disposed inside the cylinder chamber to urge the tool holder toward a distal end; a cover disposed outside the body to reciprocate between a detaching position and a processing position, the cover including, a pressing surface that covers the anti-rotation body holding hole at the processing position, and a relief portion; and an anti-rotation body accommodated in the relief portion when the cover is positioned at the detaching position and the tool holder is pulled from the tool holder holding hole.
Hole cutter with multiple fulcrums
A hole cutter has a cylindrical blade body including a cutting edge and one or more axially-elongated apertures formed within a side wall of the blade body. The axially-elongated aperture is configured to receive a lever, such as a screwdriver, therethrough. Each axially-elongated aperture includes a first fulcrum axially spaced adjacent to the cutting edge, a second fulcrum axially spaced further away from the cutting edge than the first fulcrum, and optionally a third fulcrum axially spaced between the first and second fulcrums. A lever, such as a screwdriver, can be inserted into the aperture and placed against each of the fulcrums to lever slugs out of the interior of the blade body.
HOLE CUTTER WITH MULTIPLE FULCRUMS
A hole cutter can include a cylindrical blade body with a cutting edge and one or more axially-elongated apertures. Each axially-elongated aperture can include a first fulcrum axially spaced from the cutting edge, and a second fulcrum axially spaced further away from the cutting edge than the first fulcrum. The blade body can also include a third fulcrum defined by a second aperture different from the one or more axially-elongated apertures. The third fulcrum may be spaced closer to the cutting than the first and second fulcrums. A lever, such as a screw driver, can be inserted into the apertures and placed against each of the fulcrums to lever slugs out of the interior of the blade body. The third fulcrum may alternatively be defined by another axially-elongated aperture that is located a different distance from the cutting edge than the axially-elongated aperture containing the first and second fulcrums.
Hole saw
A hole saw including a cylindrical body with an outer wall extending along an axis of rotation from a cap end to a cutting end. The cutting end includes a plurality of cutting teeth disposed continuously around a circumference of the cutting end. The hole saw includes at least one elongated aperture disposed along the outer wall of the cylindrical body that is configured to receive a tool for removing one or more plugs from within the cylindrical body. The at least one elongated aperture has a first slot portion disposed adjacent to the cutting end and substantially parallel to the cap end, a second slot portion connected to the first slot portion at a first end of the second slot portion, and a third slot portion coupled to the second slot portion at a second end of the second slot portion opposite the first end.
Hole saw
A hole saw includes a substantially cylindrical body defining a cutting end and an axis of rotation. The hole saw also includes first and second apertures formed through the body and spaced from the cutting end such that a portion of the body extends between the cutting end and both the first and second apertures. The first and second apertures are both configured to receive a tool for removing work piece plugs from within the cylindrical body. The first aperture is axially spaced from the cutting end a first distance. The second aperture is axially spaced from the cutting end a second distance that is greater than the first distance. The first aperture and the second aperture are separated by a portion of the body.
Side-lock modular drill with spring-assisted bump-off
A rotary cutting tool with a shank and an interchangeable cutting tip, wherein the shank includes a pocket which receives the interchangeable cutting tip via an interference fit. The pocket includes two centering wall portions which, when viewed along a central longitudinal axis, are oriented at a first angle with respect to one another, the first angle being greater than zero. The interchangeable cutting tip is axially displaceable between: an initial position, assumed upon being received in the pocket of the shank; a clamped position, wherein the interchangeable cutting tip is fixedly held with respect to the shank; and a bump-off position, wherein the interchangeable cutting tip is not fixedly held. A holding element holds the interchangeable cutting tip in the clamped position, and a spring assembly which displaces the interchangeable cutting tip between the clamped position and the bump-off position. Other variants and embodiments are broadly contemplated herein.
