Tool holder assembly and method of manufacturing a tool holder
Tool holder for a tool for machining workpieces, with a tool holder body, which defines a longitudinal axis, on which a tool mount for securing a tool is formed and on which a tool holder interface for fixating the tool holder to a holder shaft is formed, wherein the tool holder interface comprises: a tool holder plane surface oriented transversely to the longitudinal axis, against which a holder shaft plane surface can abut to establish a defined relative position in longitudinal direction between the tool mount and the holder shaft, a tool holder cone section, which is polygonal in a cross-section and which can engage with a correspondingly polygonal holder shaft cone section to establish a defined relative position in tangential direction between the tool mount and the holder shaft, and a tool holder cylinder section which can act together with a corresponding holder shaft cylinder section.
Cutting section for a drill bit
A cutting section (11) which is connectable to a drill shaft section via a releasable connecting device. The cutting section includes a first open tubular element (14) which is in the form of a first hollow cylinder having a first waved, trapezoidal or zigzag-shaped cross-sectional area, a second closed tubular element (15) which is in the form of a second hollow cylinder having a circular ring-shaped cross-sectional area, and one or more drill segments (16) which are connected to the first open tubular element (14) and to the second closed tubular element (15).
CUTTING TOOL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A cutting tool includes: a base metal provided with a seat portion; a blade edge member that is a polycrystalline diamond sintered material containing polycrystalline diamond and a binder; and a brazing material that fixes the blade edge member to the seat portion of the base metal. The blade edge member has a thickness of greater than or equal to 0.3 mm. The brazing material is disposed between a blade edge bottom face of the blade edge member and the a seat bottom face of the seat portion and is in contact with the blade edge bottom face and the seat bottom face. The flank face is located outside of the base metal with respect to the lateral face of the base metal.
TOOL AND METHOD FOR MACHINING A WORKPIECE
A power skiving tool comprising a shank that extends along a longitudinal axis of the tool, and a cutting head that is arranged at an end face of the shank. The cutting head comprises a plurality of circumferentially arranged teeth, wherein, when viewed in a cross-section orthogonal to the longitudinal axis, each of the teeth comprises a convexly rounded contour, which at a first end transitions either directly or via a first concave transition contour into the convexly rounded contour of a first adjacent tooth of the plurality of teeth and at a second end opposite the first end transitions either directly or via a second concave transition contour into the convexly rounded contour of a second adjacent tooth of the plurality of teeth. A width of each tooth of the plurality of teeth, measured in the cross-section as a distance between the first end and the second end, is greater than a height of the respective tooth, measured in the cross-section orthogonal to the width and centrally between the first end and the second end.
Mounting device for a rotary spindle of a balancing machine
Disclosed is a mounting device (6) including a receiving opening (8) with a circular inner locating surface (10) which is coaxial with the axis of rotation (3) and serves for engagement with radially outer vertices (24) of the polygon profile of a holding pin (23). Arranged adjacent to the inner locating surface is a positioning disk (14) which has an opening (15) coaxial with the axis of rotation (3) and of such polygonal shape and size that the polygon profile of the holding pin (23) engaging in the opening (15) is supported in the opening (15) in a manner preventing relative rotation.
Insert and cutting tool assembly comprising same
A cutting insert and a cutting tool assembly for cutting a workpiece. The cutting tool assembly includes a cutting insert having an upper surface that has a quadrilateral shape so as to include first to fourth insert corner portions, and a shim configured to support the insert. The insert includes an upper surface and a lower surface on which first to sixth inclined mounting portions are respectively formed. The shim simultaneously supports the first to third inclined mounting portions, or simultaneously supports the fourth to sixth inclined mounting portions.
Cutting tool assembly
A cutting tool assembly includes a tool body and a tool holder including a longitudinal axis around which the tool holder is configured to spin. The tool holder includes a central portion connected to the tool body comprising a fastener hole perpendicular with the longitudinal axis and configured to receive a securing fastener, wherein the fastener hole is offset from the longitudinal axis. The tool holder further includes an eccentric drive member connected to the cylindrical portion. The tool holder can optionally further include an end alignment cylinder connected to the eccentric drive member.
