Handheld wood thread cutting tool
A handheld wood thread cutting tool with an elongated shank formed with a planar surface and including a first end and a second end with a length substantially longer than its width. The first end has a first wood thread cutting edge aligned substantially in parallel relative to a first vertical plane perpendicular to the planar surface and passing through the length of the elongated shank from the first end to the second end. The second end has a second wood thread cutting edge aligned substantially parallel to a second vertical plane perpendicular to the planar surface and running through the width of the elongated shank from a first side wall to a second side wall. A ball handle is affixed between the first and the second end.
THREAD CUTTING INSERT
A thread cutting insert for cutting threads includes a plurality of cutting teeth disposed along a cutting portion, each cutting tooth is provided with an allocated chip former, and the chip formers are provided on a rake face of the thread cutting insert. The shape of at least two cutting teeth is different from each other. At least one cutting tooth along the cutting portion is provided with an allocated chip former the shape of which is adapted to the shape of that cutting tooth which, with respect to an order of engagement during cutting operation, precedes the subsequent cutting tooth along the cutting portion such that the at least one chip former has a shape adapted to the cross-section of chips encountered by it. A set of at least two thread cutting inserts, a thread cutting tool and a method for cutting threads, are also provided.
PORTABLE PIPE THREADER
A portable pipe threader includes a stand upon which a pipe is supported, a carriage supported by the stand, and a plurality of pipe threading tools coupled to the carriage and selectively operable to perform work on the pipe. The portable pipe threader further includes a drive assembly mounted to the stand including a brushless direct current (DC) motor operable to provide torque to one of the pipe or a selected one of the pipe threading tools to rotate the pipe and the selected one of the pipe threading tools relative to each other, and a battery pack supported by the stand in selective electrical communication with the motor to provide electrical power to the motor.
CUTTING INSERT AND TURNING TOOL USING CUTTING INSERT
A cutting insert 2 includes an upper surface 6, a lower surface 7 on a side opposite to the upper surface 6, and a peripheral side surface 8 connecting the upper surface 6 and the lower surface 7. A cutting edge 61 is formed in at least a part of a first ridgeline 60 where the upper surface 6 and the peripheral side surface 8 intersect. At least one bottomed recess 10 recessed from the lower surface 7 to the upper surface 6 is formed in an outer peripheral portion of the lower surface 7. Each of the recesses 10 is formed in a substantially triangular shape having a first vertex P, a second vertex Q, and a third vertex R. The first vertex P and the second vertex Q are respectively positioned on a second ridgeline 70 where the lower surface 7 and the peripheral side surface 8 intersect. The third vertex R is positioned on the lower surface 7 and separated from the second ridgeline 70.
Cutting tool
A cutting tool for performing cutting of a relatively rotating external workpiece while relatively feeding the same in a specified direction is configured to have: cutting sections that have a tool edge, a base section, which is provided as one piece with or separate from the cutting sections and is for holding the cutting sections, a chip-guiding wall, which starts near a tool edge, is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the base section so as to extend in the direction moving away from the tool edge, and is for interfering with chips from the external workpiece and guiding the chips in a direction away from the tool edge. Provided thereby is a cutting tool capable of smoothly discharging chips during cutting.
Screw thread structure for preventing being pulled out and tool for manufacturing same
The present invention provides a looseness-prevention screw thread structure including a screw thread having a predetermined pitch, a no-load flank which is an inclined surface in a direction in which the screw thread is advanced, and a load flank which is an inclined surface in a direction in which the screw thread is retracted, the no-load flank and the load flank being formed at both sides of the screw thread, in which the no-load flank of the screw thread includes: a first tangential portion which abuts against an arc portion formed at a thread crest of an opposing fastening object; and a second tangential portion which has a preset angle with respect to the first tangential portion and abuts against the arc portion.
THREADING INSERT HAVING VARIABLE EDGE ROUNDNESS
A threading insert includes a top surface, an opposite bottom surface, a side surface connecting the top surface and the bottom surface, and a first tooth. The first tooth has a first cutting edge, the first cutting edge including a first top cutting edge connecting a first leading cutting edge and a first trailing cutting edge. The first cutting edge has an edge roundness and the size of the edge roundness varies along the first cutting edge.
Cutting insert
The edge portion includes an upper surface, a side surface, and a land surface. The side surface has a front side surface and a pair of lateral side surfaces. An intersection between the land surface and the front side surface forms a front cutting edge. An intersection between the land surface and each of the pair of lateral side surfaces form a corresponding one of a pair of lateral cutting edges. The edge portion contains 80 vol % or more of diamond. A chip breaker recess is provided between the upper surface and the land surface. The surfaces forming the chip breaker recess include a rake face and a breaker wall surface. The upper surface has a front edge portion opposite to the front cutting edge from the chip breaker recess. A pair of protruding portions are provided to extend from the front edge portion toward the front cutting edge.
