Device for Transmitting Torque from a Drill to a Drill Bit
A device for transmitting a torque produced by a drill to a drill bit includes a shank and a tool fitting. The shank has a first outer conical region, a groove region, and a second outer conical region and has longitudinal grooves. The tool fitting has a basic body which has a rotary driving region with outer rotary driving grooves, an intermediate element which has an inner driver region with inner rotary drivers and an outer driver region with outer rotary drivers, and a locking device. In the connected state, the inner rotary drivers engage in the longitudinal grooves and the outer rotary drivers engage in the outer rotary driving grooves. Lower rotary drivers are arranged on the base surface of the intermediate element where the lower rotary drivers, in the connected state, interact with lower rotary driving grooves in the rotary driving region of the basic body.
Shaft Coupling for Machine Tools
The invention relates to a device with a spindle (10) for a machine tool, with a tool holder (30) and a driver ring (20) that is rotationally fixed on the spindle (10) and can be displaced along a rotational axis of the spindle (10). The spindle (10) and the tool holder (30) comprise matching faces which are designed to form a frictionally engaged connection when assembled. The opposing faces of the tool holder (30) and of the driver ring (20) have matching contours (21, 33) so that the driver ring (20) can engage on the tool holder (30).
Method and apparatus for tool holder with increased surface area
A textured surface in an outer surface of a tool holding section of a tool holder for increasing a surface area of the outer surface for dissipating heat from the tool holding section. The textured surface can comprise grooves around the outer surface of the tool holding section with a height and a width. Notches can be provided in sides of the grooves to further increase the surface area of the outer surface for dissipating heat from the tool holding section.

Self-Balancing Tool Holder or Material Removal Machine
Improvements in a self-balancing tool holder or material removal machine that allows for greater accuracy of material removal. The balancer is able to self-adjust, any changes in the assembly are automatically adjusted. The adjustment can account for tool wear, accumulation of debris on the tool and balancing at different speeds of rotation. The tool holder balancer can be a mechanical fastener, shrink fit or bonding to the tool holder or material removal machine. The balancer uses a plurality of balls or any form of movable weight in the ring to provide the balance. The plurality of balls or media can freely move around the inside of the ring to offset any imbalance. The balls roll or spin to unique positions to provide a dynamic balance. The number and size of balls or weighted media is selected based upon the maximum amount of dynamic balancing that is required.
INSERT HOLDER HAVING WEIGHT-REDUCING VOIDS AND CUTTING TOOL
An insert holder includes a cutting portion and a shank portion. The insert holder further includes a cavity which includes a cavity chamber and a plurality of cavity through recesses which serve to reduce the weight of the insert holder. The plurality of cavity through recesses open out to the cavity chamber and to the periphery of the shank portion. A cutting tool is provided having a cutting insert releasably attached to the insert holder.
Screw-in tool and tool holder for such a screw-in tool
A screw-in tool and a tool holder for such a screw-in tool. The screw-in tool contains a tool head and a tool shank having an outer thread and a supporting region arranged between the tool head and the outer thread. The supporting region is formed by two conical bearing faces having different cone angles.
Assembling and centering structure for processing tool
Disclosed is an assembling and centering structure for a processing tool, the structure having a clamping handle (10), a processing head (20), and a fastening member (30) for connecting and fixing the clamping handle (10) and the processing head (20). An end face accommodation groove (100) of the clamping handle (10) is formed with a concave part (11) and a centering hole (12). The processing head (20) is formed with a convex part (211) and a centering post (222), the convex part (211) matches the concave part (11), and the centering post (222) matches the centering hole (12). Thus, it can be ensured that after assembly, the central axis of rotation of the clamping handle (10) is in a straight line with the central axis of rotation of the processing head (20).

Device for the controlled stabilization of tool holder shanks
A device for the controlled stabilization of tool holder shanks on the respective ring nut, the tool holder shanks, motorized or non-motorized, being predisposed for ER or other type fixing. The device comprises a ring nut and a tool holder shank of a truncated conical shape provided externally with a groove in which means connecting the ring nut to the tool holder are arranged inside the ring nut. The connecting means consist of an annular body formed of at least two shaped half-rings that define opposite protrusions projecting outwardly and centrally to form a shaped prominence having an arched-convex outer profile; on each of the shaped prominences a recess is made predisposed to house respective elastic pins, by means of which the shaped half-rings are firmly connected inside the ring nut blind holes.
