METHOD FOR GRIPPING CONSTANT-VELOCITY UNIVERSAL JOINT COMPONENT
20230045564 · 2023-02-09 ·

Provided is a gripping method including: a phase matching step of matching tool relief grooves of a contact metal member and track grooves of a constant velocity universal joint component with each other in phase; a measuring step of measuring phase differences between the track grooves of the constant velocity universal joint component and a female spline of the constant velocity universal joint component; a matching step of matching, based on a result of the measuring step, a stopper with a recessed portion of the female spline having the smallest phase difference and gripping the constant velocity universal joint component by a collet chuck. Under a state in which the constant velocity universal joint component is gripped by the collet chuck, the contact metal member holds the constant velocity universal joint component.

A positioning cutter/collet assembly has a cutter/collet and a magnetic attracting position key. The cutter/collet has a cutter/collet key seat recessed in an external annular surface thereof. The magnetic attracting position key is mounted on and magnetically attracts the cutter/collet key seat. The magnetic attracting position key has a body having a protruding rod and a magnetic attracting portion combined with the body and magnetically attracting the cutter/collet to prevent the magnetic attracting position key from separating from the cutter/collet.

DRILL STOP COLLET FOR USE WITH A HAND-HELD DRILL FOR WINDSHIELD REPAIR
20210387268 · 2021-12-16 ·

An apparatus for securely holding a drill bit in a handheld drill, the drill bit including a pointed end and a bottom end, is described. The apparatus includes a collet, which includes a silo for accommodating the drill bit therein. The silo includes a fixed stop, such that the bottom end of the drill bit rests against the fixed stop, and a compressible collar for securing the drill bit within the silo. The drill bit has a drill bit length and the silo has a silo depth shorter than the drill bit length such that, when the drill bit is inserted into the apparatus, the pointed end of the drill bit protrudes from the apparatus by a maximum depth defined by the drill bit length minus the silo depth. The apparatus, when used with the handheld drill, only allows drilling of holes having a depth up to the maximum depth.

Gripper module

The present disclosure provides a gripper module, including a base, an adapter holder, a collet holder, and an actuator. The base is adapted for an adapter to be detachably disposed thereon. The adapter holder is able to engage and to buckle the adapter. The collet holder is able to engage and to buckle a collet which is installed in the adapter. The actuator is connected to the collet holder. The actuator can pull the collet holder and the collet to move, causing pressing and retraction of the collet by the conical surface between the collet and the adapter. Therefore, sizes of collets may apply to the gripper module with the adapter. By sheathing the adapter, replacement and size alternation of the collets are made easier, and precisions of allocations of the collet and the gripped workpiece are improved.

A tool holder includes a tubular body having a shank on a first axial end portion, a tool gripping portion on a second axial end portion, and an elastic segment interposed between the shank and the tool gripping portion in the axial direction of the body. The elastic segment is more elastically deformable along the axial direction and around a circumferential direction of the tubular body than the shank and the tool gripping portion owing to a plurality of voids that extend through the elastic segment from an outer peripheral side of the tubular body to an inner peripheral side of the tubular body. Each of the voids includes segments that extend around the circumferential direction and along the axial direction of the tubular body.
