Device for Transmitting Torque from a Drill to a Drill Bit
A device for transmitting a torque produced by a drill to a drill bit includes a shank and a tool fitting. The shank has a first outer conical region, a groove portion, and a second outer conical region and has first longitudinal grooves and second longitudinal grooves. The tool fitting has a basic body which has first outer rotary driving grooves, an intermediate element which has first inner rotary drivers, second inner rotary drivers, and first outer rotary drivers, and a locking device. In a connected state of the device, the first inner rotary drivers engage in the first longitudinal grooves, the second inner rotary drivers engage in the second longitudinal grooves, and the first outer rotary drivers engage in the first outer rotary driving grooves. The intermediate element has second outer rotary drivers which, in the connected state, engage in second outer rotary driving grooves of the basic body.
Ring-saw assemblies and processes
Hole-saws are provided herein, and more specifically to hole-saw assemblies and processes having adjustable platters for multiple simultaneous saw components, optional elimination of a guide drill, and the ability to retrieve cores of a sawed work piece before sawing completely through the workpiece. One hole-saw device, may have a motive force; a base plate rotatable by the motive force; cutters; and locking mechanisms to mount the base plate to the cutters.
Hole cutter having plug ejection and method thereof
A hole cutting tool with plug ejection includes a hole saw having a first central bore and an arbor having a second central bore along a central axis. The arbor is configured at one end to be coupled to a rotational drilling machine, and at the other end to be attached to the hole saw in a first cutting position and detached from the hole saw in a second ejection position. The hole cutting tool also includes a pilot guide having an ejection shoulder. The pilot guide is slidably disposed within the second central bore of the arbor and received through the first central bore of the hole saw. The pilot guide being configured to translate along the central axis between a first drilling position and the second ejection position.
Debris Collecting System
A debris collection system for use in cutting or drilling holes in a ceiling with a hole saw. The debris collection system allows a user to avoid or limit exposure to dust and debris created by cutting or drilling overhead holes in drywall or wood. A clear rigid debris shield is temporarily attachable to the ceiling so that the user does not have to hold it in place while operating the hole saw. The hole saw is operably contained within a debris collection chamber defined within the debris shield when in use. A vacuum hose connects to a vacuum port in a cylindrical sidewall of the debris shield at one end and is attachable to a portable vacuum at an opposite end to create suction and remove debris from the debris collection chamber. A hose hanger is attachable to the ceiling between the debris shield and the portable vacuum to support the vacuum hose and keep it out of the way.
Support assembly for a core drill
A support assembly for a core drill which utilizes an improved high strength spoked reinforcer. The reinforcer may be removably mounted a core drill tube by fasteners. A drive connection is removably mounted and centrally located on an outer disc of a pair of discs. The drive connection is adapted to connect with a drive shaft to cause rotation of the tube. The assembly can also include a split in the disc when the high strength spoked reinforcer is not welded thereto, thereby providing a means of water control. The high strength spoked reinforcer can be a separate piece that is bolted to the disc or can be integrally formed as one piece therewith.
Hole-saw with brazed or welded endcap
A hole-saw, including a sidewall and an endcap, is provided. The endcap includes projections that fit within notches of the sidewall to form a brazed or welded joint that couples the endcap to the cylindrical sidewall. The projections extend through the notches and are brazed or welded to the base of the sidewall. The endcap couples to the sidewall to form a cylindrical hole saw body. The endcap rotates and supports the hole-saw during operation.
Device for Transmitting Torque from a Drill to a Drill Bit
A device for transmitting a torque produced by a drill includes a shank having a first outer conical region, a groove region, a second outer conical region, and a plurality of first longitudinal grooves extending over the first outer conical region, the groove region, and the second outer conical region and having a plurality of second longitudinal grooves extending over the second outer conical region. A tool fitting has a rotary driving part. The rotary driving part has an inner conical region and an inner driver region where the inner driver region has a plurality of first inner rotary drivers with a first width and first depth and a plurality of second inner rotary drivers with a second width and second depth. The first depth and the second depth are identical and the second longitudinal grooves also extend over the first outer conical region and the groove region.

The shank has a first outer conical region, a groove region, and a second outer conical region and has first longitudinal grooves and second longitudinal grooves. The tool fitting has a basic body which has first outer rotary driving grooves, an intermediate element which has first inner rotary drivers, second inner rotary drivers, and first outer rotary drivers, and has a locking device. In the connected state, the first inner rotary drivers engage in the first longitudinal grooves, the second inner rotary drivers engage in the second longitudinal grooves, and the first outer rotary drivers engage in the first outer rotary driving grooves.
VACUUM BIT ASSEMBLY WITH REPLACEABLE DRILL BIT
A vacuum bit assembly includes an adapter having first and second ends, a central bore defined in the first end, and a locking member extending into the central bore. The vacuum bit assembly includes a drill bit having a workpiece engaging end, a connection, and a suction channel extending between the workpiece engaging and connection ends. The drill bit defines an axis of rotation that extends centrally through the drill bit between the workpiece engaging and connection ends and centrally through the adapter between the first and second ends. The drill bit includes an elongated slot adjacent the connection end. The elongated slot receives the locking member to secure the drill bit to the adapter. The vacuum bit assembly further includes a collar to selectively secure the locking member in the elongated slot. The locking member is axially movable within the elongated slot during operation of the vacuum bit assembly.
