The cutting body portions each include an insert pocket having an insert receiving slot, first and second clamping jaws and a slot end. The slitter body further including a reinforcement portion extending from the cylindrical body in an outward radial direction further than each slot end.
CUTTING INSERT AND CUTTING TOOL EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME
A cutting insert according to an embodiment of the present disclosure relates to a circular double-sided cutting insert including a top surface, a bottom surface, a lateral surface, and a cutting edge, and mounted to a cutting tool, in which a plurality of clearance surfaces and a plurality of fastening surfaces are located on the lateral surface, and among the plurality of fastening surfaces, a fastening surface, which is brought into contact with the cutting tool upon mounting of the cutting insert to the cutting tool, forms an acute angle with respect to the top surface or the bottom surface acting as a rake surface.
Slotting Tool Body Having Insert Receiving Slots Connected by Flexibility Recess and Rotary Slot Cutting Tool Having Same
A slotting tool body includes a disc-like cutter portion including opposing forward and rearward cutter portion side surfaces and a cutter portion peripheral surface extending therebetween and a shank portion projecting rearwardly from the rearward cutter portion side surface. The cutter portion includes a number N of angularly spaced apart clamping portions, each having a peripherally disposed insert receiving slot. The cutter portion further includes a flexibility recess recessed in the forward cutter portion side surface and extending to each of the insert receiving slots. A cutting insert is releasably and resiliently clamped in each insert receiving slot to form a rotary slot cutting tool.

A cutting insert is releasably and resiliently clamped in each insert receiving slot to form a rotary slot cutting tool.
Cutting insert having lower anti-slip recess, insert holder and cutting tool
A cutting insert includes an insert peripheral surface that includes at least one planar major insert side abutment surface and an insert lower surface that includes an anti-slip recess recessed therein. The anti-slip recess includes at least one elongated and straight anti-slip groove. Each major insert side abutment surface is oriented parallel to a groove longitudinal axis of a respective anti-slip groove. An insert holder includes a holder pocket. The holder pocket includes a pocket peripheral surface which includes planar major pocket side abutment surface and a pocket base surface having an elongated and straight anti-slip rib. When the cutting insert is releasably attached to the insert holder, to constitute a fastened position of a cutting tool, the anti-slip rib is located in the anti-slip groove that is oriented parallel to the major insert side abutment surface that abuts the major pocket side abutment surface.
Cutter head and use thereof
Cutter head for accommodating multiple cutters, wherein the cutter head has a separate receptacle opening for each of the cutters, and wherein the cutter head includes clamping means for clamping the cutters in the receptacle openings. A cavity is implemented in the cutter head in the region of at least one of the receptacle openings, which is separated by a thin wall or layer from this receptacle opening, and the cavity can be filled with a fluid and a pressure can be applied thereto.
ROTATIONALLY ASYMMETRIC DOUBLE-ENDED GROOVING CUTTING INSERT, INSERT HOLDER AND CUTTING TOOL
A double-ended parting cutting insert. The cutting insert includes two cutting portions at opposite ends thereof which are oriented at 90° to each other. The cutting insert includes a pair of rake and support engagement grooves, the rake and support engagement grooves of each one of the pair converging in a direction away from a respective cutting portion. An insert holder includes a clamping portion having a resilient upper clamping jaw having an upper engagement ridge and a lower base jaw having a lower engagement ridge. A gap therebetween forms an insert receiving slot that has a slot opening. The upper and lower engagement ridges converge in a direction away from the slot opening. When the cutting insert is releasably attached to the insert holder, to constitute a fastened position of a cutting tool, the cutting insert is located in the insert receiving slot and resiliently clamped therein.
REINFORCED METAL SLITTER BODY HAVING INSERT POCKETS
A metal slitter body including a cylindrical body portion and cutting body portions extending outwardly from and integrally formed with the cylindrical body portion. The cutting body portions each include an insert pocket having an insert receiving slot, first and second clamping jaws and a slot end. The slitter body further including a reinforcement portion extending from the cylindrical body in an outward radial direction further than each slot end.
Slotting tool body having inwardly offset insert receiving slot, rotary slot cutting tool having same and cutting insert
A slotting tool body includes a disc-like cutter portion and a shank portion projecting rearwardly therefrom. The cutter portion includes a resilient clamping portion having a peripherally disposed insert receiving slot. The shank portion includes a peripherally disposed forward shank recess that is axially adjacent the cutter portion. A radially inward portion of the insert receiving slot merges in the rearward direction with the forward shank recess. A cutting insert is releasably and resiliently clamped in the insert receiving slot to form a rotary slot cutting tool. The cutting insert includes two cutting portions that each include a long and short insert lateral extension, the long insert lateral extension being longer than the short insert lateral extension. The longest insert lateral extensions are orated on opposite sides of the cutting insert.
