Rotary cutting tool with accurate positioning
A rotary cutting tool includes a rotary tool body, a blade clamp, a cutting insert, a clamp fastener, and an insert fastener, wherein the rotary tool body has an insert pocket to define a bottom positioning face, a first lateral positioning face and a second lateral positioning face. The cutting insert is affixed to the blade clamp via the insert fastener. The first lateral positioning face is orientated opposite to a side cutting edge of the cutting insert. The blade clamp is slid into the insert pocket in an axial direction of the rotary tool body, wherein the blade clamp is coupled by the first and second lateral positioning faces in an interference clamping manner and is retained at the rotary tool body by the clamp fastener. The present invention has the advantages of strong radial impact resistance, high positioning accuracy, high safety concern and long service life.
Milling tool
A milling tool has a basic body rotatable about a center axis, and including an outside, which includes a pair of opposite front and back sides, as well as a peripheral envelope surface. The body is equipped with a plurality of replaceable cutting inserts. The basic body includes an inner hollow space having an internal limiting surface, in which there collectively mouth a plurality of bores. The bores also mouth in the outside. Each cutting insert is mounted on an outer end of an ejector, which is rectilinearly movable in the individual bore and has an inner end accessible from the hollow space, and which interacts with a compressible force generator, to pull the same into the bore. By mounting the cutting inserts on ejectors, which simultaneously are accessible from a common hollow space, the cutting inserts can be replaced fast and easily, and possibly also be indexed.
Cutting tool having an anti-slip arrangement
A cutting tool and a cutting insert, each of which including a base surface and an anti-slip arrangement adjacent thereto. Each anti-slip arrangement includes an actuator surface and non-parallel first and second abutment surfaces, and the actuator surface of the cutting tool is a surface of a clamp of the cutting tool. The cutting insert is mounted on the cutting tool via engagement of the base surfaces thereof and the clamp is operable to bias the actuator surfaces against each other and thereby force the first and second abutment surfaces against each other, for preventing slippage of the cutting insert along the tool's base surface.
