COMPOSITE CUTTING TOOL
A cutting tool includes a tubular body made of a composite material, such as carbon reinforced fiber polymer (CFRP). A front support structure comprising a central hub and a plurality of spokes extending radially outward from the central hub is attached proximate the front end of the tubular body. A rear support structure comprising a central hub and a plurality of spokes extending radially outward from the central hub is attached proximate the rear end of the tubular body. Cartridge supports are attached directly to one of the front and rear support structures. A rear machine connection member is attached to the rear support structure for providing coolant to the front and rear support structures. The CFRP tubular body increases the stiffness to weight ratio of the cutting tool.
MACHINING TOOL FOR DEBURRING BOREHOLES
A machining tool for deburring boreholes, which lead laterally into a recess, comprising: a shaft; a cutting head with at least one circumferential cutting blade associated with a chip groove and having a cutting edge extending, at least in sections, in an axial direction, and which can perform a cutting process by virtue of relative movement between the tool and a workpiece, and which lies on a virtual cylindrical rotation surface; and at least one cutting-blade-free and chip-groove-free surface area; at least one fluid channel closed on the cutting head side, extending through the shaft into the cutting head; and at least one branch channel with an outlet opening. The outlet opening is in a dynamic pressure active surface radially set back relative to the virtual rotation surface, and is larger than a flow cross-sectional area of the at least one branch channel at the outlet opening.
DRILLING TOOL, IN PARTICULAR REAMER
A drilling tool, in particular a reamer, for drilling out a workpiece core bore to a nominal diameter by means of a main blade formed on a drill body is disclosed. The main blade has a radially external cutting edge which extends along a drill-body longitudinal axis as far as a blade corner arranged at the drill tip, wherein during the drilling-out operation, the drilling tool is drivable into the workpiece core bore with a rotary movement and a feed movement. The drilling tool has at least one groove blade which is arranged so as to precede the blade corner of the main blade in the direction of rotation of the tool. During the drilling-out operation, the groove blade produces a groove in the inner wall of the core bore drilling, the blade corner of the main blade being guided in the groove with an at least reduced cutting load.
DOUBLE TUBULAR BODY MACHINING TOOL, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH A TOOL
A machining tool having has a body that includes a central tubular portion forming a duct centered on a longitudinal axis. A peripheral tubular portion is coaxial with the central tubular portion and surrounds the central tubular portion. A first machining stage has a first arm and a second arm that extend on either side of the central tubular portion. The first arm and the second arm each have a machining member at the end thereof. The first arm and the second arm are each integral with the central tubular portion and the peripheral tubular portion. The machining tool body also includes a baseplate. The peripheral tubular portion has at least one linking arch connecting the first arm and the second arm and bypassing the central tubular portion.
Reamer
A reamer incudes a core and a plurality of outer-circumference cutting edges provided on an outer circumference of the core and made of a hard tool material. The core extends from a front end to a rear end. The core is provided with a plurality of flutes from the front end to the rear end. A center-of-gravity adjustment portion, which adjusts a distance from a center of rotation to a center of gravity, is provided at least partially from terminal ends of the plurality of flutes on a rear end side to the rear end of the core. The center-of-gravity adjustment portion causes the deviation of the center of gravity from the center of rotation to be smaller than when no center-of-gravity adjustment portion is provided.

LIGHTWEIGHT CUTTING TOOL
A lightweight cutting tool, such as a reamer, includes a front cutting body, a front cutting ring, a center tube, a rear cutting ring and a rear machine connection member. An arm assembly of the front and rear cutting heads includes one or more leading arms, one or more trailing arms and a cutting head supported by the leading and trailing arms. The leading arms and the trailing arms curve in opposite directions. To reduce weight and moment of inertia of the reamer, a cross-sectional area of the leading arms and the trailing arms is largest proximate the sleeve member and is smallest proximate the cutting head. In addition, the front cutting body, the front and rear cutting rings and the center tube may be made by additive manufacturing. Fluid can be transported entirely through the reamer to the cutting insert/workpiece interface and the guide pad/workpiece interface.

Methods for cutting aligned full size holes
A method for enlarging each one of an initial pair of holes, which includes a first hole, extending through a first component, and a second hole, extending through a second component, includes inserting a pilot member, corresponding to a tolerance of misalignment of the first hole and the second hole of the initial pair of holes, such that pilot member passes through a clearance gap, defined by at least a portion of a boundary of first hole and at least a portion of a boundary of second hole with pilot member having a first central axis. The method also includes cutting a second pair of aligned holes through first and second components, respectively, with a cutter section, which has a second central axis.
