SHEAR KNIFE
A metal shearing tool demonstrating improved fatigue life having a body; an edge of the body having a first surface and a second surface; a cutting surface disposed between the first surface and the second surface. The edge has a substantial absence of finish marks substantially parallel with the cutting surface on all surfaces of the edge, and at least one of a curved profile surface and a radiused cutting surface.
PLATE MATERIAL CUTTING DEVICE
To provide a plate material cutting device of which thickness can be reduced and made compact. A plate material cutting device includes: a first cutting blade fixed to a housing; a second cutting blade that cuts plate material collaboratively with the first cutting blade; and a drive unit that causes the second cutting blade to reciprocally move with respect to the first cutting blade, wherein the drive unit includes: a shaft that is rotatable on a rotational axis; a first motor connected to one end portion of the shaft; a first mechanism that is capable of causing the second cutting blade to reciprocally move with respect to the first cutting blade in conjunction with rotation of the shaft on the rotational axis; and a second mechanism that is capable of supporting a load onto the shaft at a time of cutting plate material.
UNDERWATER CUTTING DEVICE
A cutting device to sever a cable or the like. The cutting device can be used to sever the cable or the like in relatively inaccessible locations, such as in the ocean. The cutting device can include one or more springs that can be loaded to facilitate the deployment of a cutting tool to sever the cable or the like. The cutting device can include a lever than can be rotated between a locked configuration impeding deployment of the cutting tool and an unlocked configuration permitting deployment of the cutting tool. A linkage can retain the lever in the locked configuration. The linkage can be compromised, permitting the movement of the lever into the unlocked configuration.
PLIERS-TYPE CUTTING TOOL
A pliers-type cutting tool having two tool legs which cross at a joint pin and are pivotable about an axis of rotation in a pivot plane with respect to one another. The tool legs form gripping portions on one side of the joint pin and a pliers mouth on the other side. Cutting of the pliers mouth pass into a position one over the other, at least radially on the outside, for the first time in a closing region. The cutting edges have in the position one over the other only in the closing region a particular free length on this central plane, and that over the free length a greatest opening width is present along an intermediate length on the central plane, and that the greatest opening width makes up a third or more of the total length of the cutting edges.
SHEARING DIE AND PRESS-FORMING METHOD
A shearing die for preventing damage of a die tool in shearing of a super-high-tension steel sheet and a press-forming method using the same. The shearing die for shearing a metal sheet in a direction intersecting a first-sheared edge of the metal sheet in press-working including a plurality of shearing processes to produce a formed article from the metal sheet by press-forming, in which the shearing die comprises a fitting part that can detach a shearing blade in the vicinity of a region coming in contact with an end of the first-sheared edge.
Rotary serrator knife
A coil slitting tool in the form of a rotary serrator knife for use on coil slitting machines includes a plurality of serration undulations disposed on one or more faces about the outer periphery. The rotary serrator knife tool may incorporate a concentrically located bore about an inner diameter for mounting on an arbor and may further incorporate a keyway. The rotary serrator knife may be formed from an assembly having, a central rotary disk about which mount one or more removable inserts including the serration undulation portion. The one or more removable inserts may include serration undulations on one side or two sides and mount substantially to the perimeter of a mounting disk by use of fasteners.
Tool for cutting a workpiece
A tool configured to cut a workpiece includes a tool head which has a receiving contour in which the workpiece is received, and a movable cutting edge with a cutting contour. In the course of a cutting process, the cutting edge passes through the receiving contour. The cutting edge is subjected to the effect of an advancement part and can be moved to such an extent in the cutting direction(s) that it can pass all the way through the workpiece. In an embodiment, a position of the cutting edge reached after the cutting edge has passed all the way through the workpiece, the cutting edge, with removal from the advancement part, can be moved out from the cutting direction(s).
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CUTTING A WORKPIECE
The invention relates inter alia to a method for cutting a workpiece, in particular a blank or a component, comprising the following steps: inserting the workpiece (3) into a cutting device, wherein the cutting device comprises a first tool half (1) having at least one workpiece holder (12) and at least one first cutting means (11), which comprises a first cutting edge (111) and a contact surface (112), and a second tool half (2) having at least one second cutting means (21) having a second cutting edge (211) and a contact surface (212), clamping the workpiece (3) by means of the workpiece holder (12) and the contact surface (212) of the second cutting means, cutting the workpiece (3) by means of the cutting means (11, 21), the workpiece (3) undergoes, prior to cutting, both a first prebending, which is produced substantially in the opposite direction counter to the cutting direction, and thereafter a second prebending in the cutting direction.
Hand-held tool
A hand-held tool that is prepared for remote control has a handle region, an actuating button, and a removable attachment part held in the handle region. The attachment part has a handling extension and a collar encompassing the handle region. The collar includes first and second collar parts pivotably connected together. The attachment part acts upon the actuating button. The actuating button is displaced into an actuating position by a housing section of the collar for a duration of an arrangement of the attachment part on the handle region.
Shear knife
A metal shearing tool demonstrating improved fatigue life having a body; an edge of the body having a first surface and a second surface; a cutting surface disposed between the first surface and the second surface. The edge has at least one of a curved profile surface, a radiused cutting surface, and a substantial absence of finish marks substantially parallel with the cutting surface on all surfaces of the edge.
