COMBINED BLADE CLAMP AND TENSIONER FOR SCROLL SAW
20170304915 · 2017-10-26 · ·

A blade clamp with first and second gripping members configured to hold a cutting blade, a lever connected to the clamp by a connection member, and a head that receives the connection member that extends through an aperture of the head. The connection member can move along a first axis through the aperture of the head and move the clamp along the first axis based on a position of the lever. The first and the second gripping members of the clamp can clamp the cutting blade along a second axis orthogonal to the first axis based on a position of the clamp along the first axis. The lever can include an eccentric cam surface that engages a cam follower. The eccentric cam surface can cause the clamp to provide a clamping force and tension to the cutting blade.

Semiconductor device having wires

A semiconductor device includes a semiconductor substrate, a first insulating layer laminated on the semiconductor substrate, a first metal wiring pattern embedded in a wire-forming region of the first insulating layer, a second insulating layer laminated on the first insulating layer, a second metal wiring pattern embedded in a wire-forming region of the second insulating layer and first dummy metal patterns embedded each in a wire-opposed region opposing to the wire-forming region of the second insulating layer and in a non-wire-opposed region opposing to a non-wire-forming region other than the wire-forming region of the second insulating layer, the wire-opposed region and the non-wire-opposed region each in a non-wire-forming region other than the wire-forming region of the first insulating layer.

Hacksaw with blade tensioning mechanism

A hacksaw with an improved mechanism for applying and adjusting the tension on a blade mounted to a blade mount on a front arm and a blade mount on a rocker arm. The rocker arm is pivotally coupled to a handle and is spring biased to place an initial tension on a blade held by the rocker arm and the front arm. A rotatably mounted lever is positioned on the handle for vertically displacing a nut captured in the rocker arm to pivot the rocker arm and adjust the tension on the rocker arm-held blade. An elongate top frame bar of the hacksaw defines a hollow I-beam cross-section accessible from the face of the front handle and is capable of storing saw blades. A bale screw is positioned in the front member for securing the blades in a position extending past the front handle.

A collapsible or folding saw is provided as a compact hand tool that when folded covers and protects the blade. The folding saw is movable between an extended useable condition and a folded condition. The saw comprises a frame having a longitudinal telescoping upper member, and first and second collapsible side supports depending from the upper member. A blade is coupled between the first and second collapsible side supports, whereby a tensioning mechanism is provided to tension the blade. Further, a handle is provided having a first portion pivotably coupled to the frame and wherein the handle pivots between a first condition to form a free-end handle and a second handle condition where the handle engages the upper member and encapsulates the blade.

Method and apparatus for a scroll saw having a base along with an upright hollow frame with a work table attached to the lower frame used to support a workpiece to be cut. The scroll saw includes upper and lower pivotable arms driven by a motor with a saw blade between the pivotable arms. A rotatable member is included in the upright frame member for rotating an upper frame assembly in a horizontal plane. The front portion of the work table can be removed from the scroll saw to access the saw blade and the work table can be automatically leveled. Also the saw blade travels in a true vertical motion and it remains centered during operation to prevent it from creeping forward during operation.

A hacksaw frame includes a beam, a front handle, a rear handle, and a blade. The beam includes a front rectilinear section, a rear rectilinear section, and an intermediate rectilinear section raised from the front and rear rectilinear sections so that there is a distance between a lower edge of the intermediate rectilinear section and a base line of the beam that passes through lower edges of the front and rear rectilinear sections. The front handle is connected to the front rectilinear section of the beam. The rear handle is connected to the rear rectilinear section of the beam. The blade includes a front section connected to the front handle and a rear section connected to the rear handle. The intermediate rectilinear section of the beam increases a distance between a lower edge of the beam and an upper edge of the blade.

A scroll saw has a machine base. The machine base includes two parallel transmission shafts thereon. The two transmission shafts are connected to each other through a synchronous unit. The synchronous unit has an upper crankshaft and a lower crankshaft connected to the transmission shafts, respectively. A plurality of crankshaft connecting levers are connected between the upper crankshaft and the lower crankshaft. When one of the transmission shafts is rotated, another transmission shaft will be driven to rotate through the synchronous unit. Because the synchronous unit is composed of the crankshaft connecting levers, the connection between the transmission shafts is relatively tight. This ensures that the transmission shafts do not generate a deviation in rotation to avoid vibration and noise.
