Circular saw blade guide pads, circular saw guide assemblies including the guide pads, circular saws including the guide assemblies, methods of manufacturing the guide pads, and methods of utilizing the circular saws. The guide pads include a pad body that includes a pad material. The pad material includes a first plurality of small graphite particles, a second plurality of large graphite particles, and at least one additional component that includes a cured resin material. The guide assemblies include a guide arm and a guide pad operatively attached to the guide arm. The circular saws include at least one circular saw blade that defines a first blade side and an opposed second blade side, a first guide assembly positioned on the first blade side, and a second guide assembly positioned on the second blade side. The methods include methods of operating the circular saws and/or manufacturing the guide pads.

A power tool includes a housing, a motor located within the housing, a drive assembly located within the housing and connected to an output of the motor, at least one cutting wheel coupled to the drive assembly, and at least one switch configured to control activation of the motor for directional rotation of the drive assembly in either a forward rotational direction or a reverse rotational direction. The drive assembly is configured to operate in the reverse rotational direction during dry cutting. The drive assembly is configured to operate in the forward rotational direction during wet cutting.

A power tool includes a housing, a motor located within the housing, a drive assembly located within the housing and connected to an output of the motor, at least one cutting wheel coupled to the drive assembly, and at least one switch configured to control activation of the motor for directional rotation of the drive assembly in either a forward rotational direction or a reverse rotational direction. A compound saw includes a base, a housing, a transmission component and a table, the rear end of the table is rotatably connected to the housing, and is engaged with the cutter head through the transmission component, so as to expose the cutter head out of the first cutting slit or out of the second cutting slit when the front end of the table swings upward and downward. The cutter head of the compound saw can be switched between the bench cutting mode and the miter cutting mode. Accordingly, on one hand, the structure for switching between modes is simple and does not require the cooperation of too many parts; on the other hand, the switchover can be realized simply by manually operating the movable bench, without too many operations.

A ring saw includes a ring saw blade, a tool holder that guides the ring saw blade in a cutting plane, a receiving space in which the tool holder is disposed, a motor, and a driving wheel where the ring saw blade is drivable in the cutting plane by the driving wheel and the driving wheel is coupled to the motor. A guide roller is disposed on a side of the cutting plane where the ring saw blade is guidable by the guide roller from the side and where an outlet of a water flushing system is directed at the guide roller.

A method of cleaning a blade of a log saw of a converting line comprises applying a cleaning agent to a saw blade. The saw blade is adapted to cut a log of web material into rolls as the log of web material advances on a conveyor. In an another step of the method the log is advanced on the conveyor for cutting with the saw blade. In another step of the method, the saw blade is cleaned by cutting the log with the saw blade with the cleaning agent applied to the saw blade.

A method of cleaning a blade of a log saw of a converting line comprises applying a cleaning agent to a saw blade. The saw blade is adapted to cut a log of web material into rolls as the log of web material advances on a conveyor. In an another step of the method the log is advanced on the conveyor for cutting with the saw blade. In another step of the method, the saw blade is cleaned by cutting the log with the saw blade with the cleaning agent applied to the saw blade.

A blade assembly is formed from multiple blades assembled adjacent each other with openings in respective blades arranged to form a passageway passing through adjacent blades.
