More specifically, a portable sharpening device comprising a body portion comprising a surfacing member, a mouth in communication with the surfacing member, arranged to guide an object to be sharpened towards the surfacing member; wherein the device is arranged to sharpen a face of said object by relative movement between the surfacing member and the object to be sharpened and wherein said relative movement is created manually by a user.
