BEVEL GEAR SET AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A bevel gear set and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The bevel gear set may include a first bevel gear and a second bevel gear. The first and second bevel gears may be spiral bevel gears or hypoid spiral bevel gears. The first and second bevel gears may each have a gear tooth surface having a plurality of teeth formed thereon, such that the teeth of the first bevel gear and the teeth of the second bevel gear are configured to engage in a meshing engagement. The teeth are machined onto the respective gear tooth surface via a face milling process. Each tooth includes a tooth top, a plurality of meshing surfaces, and at least one chamfer. The chamfer may be formed at an abutment edge disposed between the tooth top and a respective meshing surface via a brushing process directly following the machining of the teeth.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SINTERED GEAR
A method of manufacturing a sintered gear includes preparing a green compact having two gear-shaped end surfaces, one on each of two sides in an axial direction of the green compact, and having a plurality of teeth on an outer peripheral surface formed between the two end surfaces; chamfering an edge of the teeth by a brush; and sintering the green compact. The brush is a wheel-type brush including a disk-shaped wheel and a bristle member radially protruding from an outer periphery of the wheel. The chamfering includes disposing the brush with respect to the green compact such that the axial direction of the green compact and an axial direction of the wheel intersect with each other; bringing a tip of the bristle member into contact with a tooth bottom edge; and relatively moving the brush in a circumferential direction of the green compact while rotating the brush.

Method and apparatus for deburring gear wheels
Method for deburring gear wheels, for example, bevel gears, using a deburring brush, comprising at least N=1 brush bundles, having the following steps: rotationally driving the deburring brush about a spindle axis, rotationally driving a gear wheel or a bevel gear about a workpiece spindle axis, wherein the rotational driving of the deburring brush and the rotational driving of the gear wheel or the bevel gear take place in a coupled manner at a coupling transmission ratio, the method is a continuous method in which the at least N=1 brush bundle executes a relative flight movement in relation to the gear wheel or the bevel gear, the relative flight movement is defined by a hypocycloid or an epicycloid, and wherein a burr is removed at least on one tooth edge of a tooth gap by a contact of the at least N=1 brush bundle with the tooth edge.
