Tooling and method for fabricating helical sector gear and related helical sector gear
A helical sector gear having a body and a gear segment having a plurality of helical teeth. The gear segment has a toothed sector, on which all of the helical teeth are formed, and spacing segments on the opposite circumferential ends of the toothed sector. Each of the spacing segments has a circumferential surface, which is longer than a pitch of the helical teeth, and a radial surface that is formed in a helical manner that conforms to the helix angle of helical teeth. A die set for forming the helical sector gear and a related method are also provided.

CUTTER BUILD AND TRUING MACHINE
A cutter build and truing machine (22) comprising a mechanism (52, 54) to position cutting blades (98) by moving the blades in either direction in a mounting slot (96) of a cutter head (94). The machine further includes a torque spindle (62) and driver (66) to automatically tighten or loosen clamp bolts (102).
Swing motion for manufacturing non-generated bevel gears with end relief
A motion which creates an end relief and which is integrated into the plunging cycle of non-generated bevel gears. The tool, after feeding to the correct tooth forming position in case of non-generated gears, is swung sideways out of cutting or grinding contact with the slot instead of along a withdraw path which is identical to the plunge path but opposite in direction.

Cutter head and use thereof
Cutter head for accommodating multiple cutters, wherein the cutter head has a separate receptacle opening for each of the cutters, and wherein the cutter head includes clamping means for clamping the cutters in the receptacle openings. A cavity is implemented in the cutter head in the region of at least one of the receptacle openings, which is separated by a thin wall or layer from this receptacle opening, and the cavity can be filled with a fluid and a pressure can be applied thereto.

BEVEL GEAR SET AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A bevel gear set and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The bevel gear set may include a first bevel gear and a second bevel gear. The first and second bevel gears may be spiral bevel gears or hypoid spiral bevel gears. The first and second bevel gears may each have a gear tooth surface having a plurality of teeth formed thereon, such that the teeth of the first bevel gear and the teeth of the second bevel gear are configured to engage in a meshing engagement. The teeth are machined onto the respective gear tooth surface via a face milling process. Each tooth includes a tooth top, a plurality of meshing surfaces, and at least one chamfer. The chamfer may be formed at an abutment edge disposed between the tooth top and a respective meshing surface via a brushing process directly following the machining of the teeth.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OF GEARS
A method for producing gears, includes the following: machining of gears with a gear tool in a single-indexing method, wherein the gear tool produces tooth gaps on each of the gears by machining. A pitch compensation with compensation parameters is predefined for the gears; wherein the compensation parameters are predefined by a machine control as a function of a wear condition of the gear tool.
