Algorithms and methods for controlling threading of pipe
Various methods are described for forming threads in a workpiece, and particularly for controlling and/or monitoring threading of workpieces. Also described are tools and a system used in performing the methods.
BENCH PIPE THREADING MACHINE AND THREADING METHOD
A bench pipe threading machine and a threading method are provided. The bench pipe threading machine includes a spindle assembly, a die head assembly, a cutter assembly, a reamer assembly, a lifting handle assembly, and a frame assembly. The spindle assembly, the die head assembly, the cutter assembly, the reamer assembly, and the lifting handle assembly are mounted on the frame assembly. The die head assembly, the cutter assembly, and the reamer assembly are respectively matched with the spindle assembly. The frame assembly includes a frame mechanism and a carriage mechanism that is mounted on the frame mechanism. A transmission mechanism is mounted in the frame mechanism and connected to the spindle assembly. The spindle assembly and the lifting handle assembly are mounted on the frame mechanism. The die head assembly, the cutter assembly, and the reamer assembly are mounted on the carriage mechanism.

Pipe Threading Machine Accessory
A pipe threading machine accessory for utilizing a pipe threading machine to pull wire includes a spindle configured to couple to the pipe threading machine. A puller is positioned through a conduit such that a first end and a second end of the puller protrude from respective opposing ends of the conduit. The first end is configured to couple to the spindle and the second end is configured to couple to a load. The spindle is configured to be rotated by the pipe threading machine such that the puller is spooled around the spindle. The puller and the load attached to the second end of the puller are drawn through the conduit.
Power tool blade type detection and automatic speed adjustment
Systems and methods are provided for an electric tool (e.g., a power tool) that includes an output driver for receiving an accessory, and an accessory-type detector. A motor of the electric tool is coupled to the output driver for driving the accessory. The power tool also includes an operation trigger for activating the motor and a motor controller. The motor controller includes an electronic processor that is coupled to the accessory-type detector, the motor, the operation trigger, and a memory. The memory stores instructions that when executed by the electronic processor cause the motor controller to detect a characteristic of the accessory from output of the accessory-type detector. The motor controller determines an operational characteristic for the accessory based on the detected characteristic, and controls operation of the motor to drive the accessory according to the operational characteristic when the operation trigger is activated.

Method for producing a thread on at least one end of at least one metal tube and thread-cutting facility
A method for producing a thread on at least one end of at least one metal tube (3) by machining the metal tube (3) in at least one CNC-controlled machine tool (2) comprises an optical measurement of the thread during the thread-cutting process and/or following the thread-cutting process, and the electronic detection and evaluation of the measurement data of the thread profile and/or of a sealing lip (6) of the thread, and the derivation of control commands for controlling the machine tool (2) from the measurement data with use of at least one closed-loop control unit coupled to the machine tool (2). A corresponding thread-cutting facility is also disclosed.
