Minimum quantity lubrication thread tap
A thread tap includes a shaft and teeth. The shaft includes helical passages from the threading end to the base end of the shaft. Each passage opens through an aperture in the threading end. A second tap includes a cap and the shaft includes an axially extending passage. The cap is coupled to the threading end and at least partially defines apertures in fluid communication with the passage and the exterior of the tap. A third tap includes teeth spaced apart by a plurality of linear flutes. The shaft includes a central passage and a plurality of flute passages. Each flute passage extends radially outward from a common location in the central passage to a corresponding one of the flutes. The central passage is closed to a terminal end of the threading end.
WHIRLING TOOL
A whirling tool (21), in particular for cutting a thread, comprises a body with cutting teeth integrally machined thereon (23; 47, 51). Inaccuracies caused by mounting cutting teeth on the tool are avoided thereby.
LUBRICATION SYSTEM FOR PORTABLE PIPE THREADER
A portable pipe threader includes a housing, a carriage, and at least one pipe threading tool. A drive assembly of the is at least partially positioned within the housing and includes an electric motor operable to provide torque to the pipe. A lubrication system is removably coupled to the housing and includes a reservoir for holding a lubricant and a pump powered by the drive assembly. A stand of the portable pipe threader is adjustable between collapsed and deployed states. When collapsed, a longitudinal axis of the housing is maintained at a first oblique angle relative to a horizontal reference plane parallel with a work surface upon which the stand is supported to funnel lubricant toward the reservoir. When deployed, the longitudinal axis is maintained at a second oblique angle to funnel lubricant away from an end of the pipe on which a working operation is performed.
HANDHELD LITHIUM BATTERY THREADING MACHINE AND THREADING METHOD
A handheld lithium battery threading machine includes a die head, a motor assembly, a lithium battery assembly, a toothed disc assembly, a support arm body assembly, and a gearbox assembly. The lithium battery assembly is connected to the motor assembly. The motor assembly and the toothed disc assembly are respectively mounted at both ends of the gearbox assembly. The die head is mounted on the toothed disc assembly, and the support arm body assembly is mounted on the gearbox assembly and matched with the die head. The motor assembly includes a motor, a male plug, a main switch, a handle, an air inlet window, and an air outlet window, where the motor, the male plug, and the main switch are all mounted on the handle. Both the air inlet window and the air outlet window are arranged on the handle.
BENCH PIPE THREADING MACHINE AND THREADING METHOD
A bench pipe threading machine and a threading method are provided. The bench pipe threading machine includes a spindle assembly, a die head assembly, a cutter assembly, a reamer assembly, a lifting handle assembly, and a frame assembly. The spindle assembly, the die head assembly, the cutter assembly, the reamer assembly, and the lifting handle assembly are mounted on the frame assembly. The die head assembly, the cutter assembly, and the reamer assembly are respectively matched with the spindle assembly. The frame assembly includes a frame mechanism and a carriage mechanism that is mounted on the frame mechanism. A transmission mechanism is mounted in the frame mechanism and connected to the spindle assembly. The spindle assembly and the lifting handle assembly are mounted on the frame mechanism. The die head assembly, the cutter assembly, and the reamer assembly are mounted on the carriage mechanism.
Driving system for machining tools or other tooling usable with metal-fabricating presses or other machines
Driving systems for tools used with metal-fabricating presses or other machines, whereby planetary gears are used in the systems, and whereby the driving systems can be constructed for use with particular tooling, such as tapping tools, and complementary systems can be exemplarily configured for use with such driving systems. The driving systems can enable enhanced tool output as compared to conventional driving mechanisms, while also enabling variable disassembly and configuration of the systems relative to the intended machining operations.
LUBRICATION SYSTEM FOR PORTABLE PIPE THREADER
A portable pipe threader includes a housing, a carriage supported by the housing, at least one pipe threading tool coupled to the carriage and selectively operable to perform work on a pipe, a drive assembly at least partially positioned within the housing including an electric motor operable to provide torque to the pipe, and a lubrication system removably coupled to the housing, the lubrication system including a reservoir for holding a lubricant and a pump supported upon the reservoir and configured to draw the lubricant from the reservoir, the pump being powered by the drive assembly.
Portable compact threading machine
A powered threading machine is described. The threading machine is compact and portable. The threading machine includes a tube frame having a rearward wheel assembly and an extendable handle at the front of the machine. A particular sump configuration is used to prevent loss of cutting oil during operation and transport of the machine.
THREAD CUTTING TAP
The present disclosure relates to a lightweight thread cutting tap having a body, comprising at a first end a connector portion, and, at a second end, a threaded portion for cutting a thread of an opening in which said threaded portion is to be introduced, said threaded portion terminating in a bottom end, said threaded portion having at least two cutting edges in the circumferential direction of said body, each of said cutting edges being an integral peripheral part of a flank portion extending substantially radially from the longitudinal extension of said body; and a plurality of chip removal flutes between said flanks, said flutes extending in the longitudinal direction from said bottom end, said thread cutting tap having a hollow interior, wherein the body forms a sidewall and the hollow interior extends into the threaded portion.
