System and method for managing welding gun
A system managing a polishing state of tips of a welding gun of each welding robot installed in a production line of a vehicle includes: a robot controller storing tip polishing data including the number of polishing of the tips and a polishing amount of the tips generated after each tip dressing of the welding gun; and a server collecting the tip polishing data from the robot controller to store the collected data according to robot identification information of the robot and learning the store data through artificial neural network to generate reference data determining the polishing state of the tips corresponding to the robot identification information. The robot controller sets artificial neural network of the robot based on the reference data and determines whether a polishing state of the tips according to the number of polishing and the polishing amount of the tips is normal.
Venturi vacuum drawback assemblies and dual orifice venturi valve assemblies
Embodiments described herein are generally directed to a venturi valve. The venture valve includes an inlet; an outlet opposite of the inlet; a passage, a primary orifice, and an insert. The passage is positioned between the inlet and the outlet and fluidly coupling the inlet to the outlet. The primary orifice is positioned between the inlet and the outlet and in fluid communication with the passage such that the primary orifice permits fluid to enter the passage. The insert is positioned between the inlet and the outlet, the insert configured to enclose at least a portion of the passage.
Apparatus for replacing welding tip of welder and apparatus for supplying same
An apparatus for supplying a welding tip of a welder and an apparatus for replacing the same include a fixed bracket secured to a support. The apparatus includes an actuator coupled to the fixed bracket and a first moving member moved by the actuator. A second moving member is coupled to the first moving member and hingedly coupled to the fixed bracket. A third moving member is hingedly coupled to the second moving member. A first welding tip removal member is coupled to the third moving member to separate a welding to tip coupled to a shank. A fourth moving member is disposed opposite to the first moving member. A fifth moving member is coupled to the fourth moving member and hingedly coupled to the fixed bracket. A sixth moving member is coupled to the fifth moving member. A second welding tip removal member is coupled to the sixth moving member.
ELECTRODE TIP IMPACT TOOLS AND METHODS OF INSTALLING ELECTRODES
An electrode tip impact tool for mounting an electrode tip to a welding robot includes a handle and a head at an end of the handle. The head includes a first edge comprising a tip-receiving bore sized to receive an electrode tip and an opposite second edge comprising a raised ridge for striking the head with a hammer.
SWING ARM ASSEMBLY WITH LIFT ASSEMBLY
A swing arm assembly is provided for a spot welding machine. The swing arm assembly can accommodate a tip dresser or a tip exchanger and can include a lift assembly that can translate the tip dresser from a first position to a second position along a lateral axis.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED TIP TRANSFER
Systems and methods are provided for exchanging electrode tips, e.g., electrode tips used in resistance spot welding, and disposing of used/unusable electrode tips. Used/unusable electrode tips may be collected, e.g., while within an assembly line. Such used/unusable electrode tips may be routed to a receptacle(s) reside outside the assembly line. Accordingly, disposing or removing of the used/unusable electrode tips can be accomplished without stopping the assembly line, and decreasing any chance for safety events.
REPLACING AND HOLDING DEVICE FOR ELECTRODE TIP
A replacing and holding device includes an electrode tip puller including two stacked pick plates inserted between an end face of an electrode tip fitted into a shank fixed to a gun arm of a welding gun and an end face of a larger diameter portion of the shank, a guide rod that guides motions of the pick plates in a stacked direction thereof, a pick plate interspace increasing mechanism that increases a space between the pick plates according to positions of the pick plates along the guide rod, an electrode tip holder in one of the pick plates to hold the electrode tip pulled out from the shank, and an electrode tip contact portion in front of the shank in an insert direction of the shank, wherein the electrode tip comes into contact by a motion of the welding gun to insert the shank into the electrode tip.
AUTOMATED MARKING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REPLACEABLE AUTOMATED MACHINE COMPONENT TRACKING
An automated marking system for replaceable component tracking includes a robotic arm and a marking tool that is configured to place a distinguishing mark on a replaceable component of the robotic arm. A control system includes logic saved in memory that causes the robotic arm to move the replaceable component to the marking tool to place the distinguishing mark on the replaceable component.
Swing arm assembly with lift assembly
A swing arm assembly includes a tip dresser, a flange, and a swing arm. The flange is coupled with the tip dresser. The swing arm includes a mounting base and an arm assembly. The arm assembly includes an arm, an extendible arm mount, and a head. The arm is coupled with the mounting base. The extendible arm mount is disposed within the arm and is slidable with respect to the arm along a first axis between a retracted position and an extended position. The head is mounted to the extendible arm mount and includes a support plate and an actuator. The actuator is coupled with the support plate. The tip dresser is coupled with the support plate. The actuator is operably coupled with the flange to facilitate selective sliding of the tip dresser with respect to the support plate.
Spot welding apparatus
A spot welding apparatus includes a stationary frame having a housing formed therein. An upper welding gun is mounted to a length direction of a pressing unit disposed in the housing of the stationary frame. A plurality of lower welding guns are mounted on an outside of the stationary frame and ends of the plurality of lower welding guns selectively face one end of the upper welding gun in a length direction of the lower welding guns by the plurality of lower welding guns. A plurality of actuators are mounted on the outside of the stationary frame. A plurality of link units are disposed between the actuators and the lower welding guns, connect the actuators and the lower welding guns, respectively, and rotate as the actuators are operated.
