Both of the earth rod and the welding rod are electrically connected to the battery, which is the only source of electrical energy for the resistance welding machine.
AUTOMATED MARKING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REPLACEABLE AUTOMATED MACHINE COMPONENT TRACKING
An automated marking system for replaceable component tracking includes a robotic arm and a marking tool that is configured to place a distinguishing mark on a replaceable component of the robotic arm. A control system includes logic saved in memory that causes the robotic arm to move the replaceable component to the marking tool to place the distinguishing mark on the replaceable component.
Indirect spot welding apparatus and welding method
An indirect spot welding apparatus includes a welding electrode that is brought into pressure contact with one of surfaces of a plurality of plate-shaped members that are objects to be welded in one side in a stacking direction of the plate-shaped members, a ground electrode that is brought into pressure contact with the one of the surfaces in the one side or another one of the surfaces in the other side in the stacking direction in a position shifted from an axial center of the welding electrode, and an opposed member disposed coaxially with the ground electrode to be opposed to the ground electrode so as to hold at least one of the plate-shaped members between the opposed member and the ground electrode, and the welding electrode is mechanically integrated with the ground electrode to be movable in a direction parallel to an axial direction of the ground electrode.
Spot welding apparatus
A spot welding apparatus includes a stationary frame having a housing formed therein. An upper welding gun is mounted to a length direction of a pressing unit disposed in the housing of the stationary frame. A plurality of lower welding guns are mounted on an outside of the stationary frame and ends of the plurality of lower welding guns selectively face one end of the upper welding gun in a length direction of the lower welding guns by the plurality of lower welding guns. A plurality of actuators are mounted on the outside of the stationary frame. A plurality of link units are disposed between the actuators and the lower welding guns, connect the actuators and the lower welding guns, respectively, and rotate as the actuators are operated.
Single-sided welding head
Described herein is a single-sided welding head including a first welding electrode and a second welding electrode, where the first and second welding electrodes are carried by a body of said welding head. The first welding electrode is movable relative to the body of said welding head at least along a first coordinate of motion. The second welding electrode is movable relative to the body of said welding head at least along a second coordinate of motion; where said first coordinate of motion is a coordinate of angular motion that develops about a first axis of rotation, and said second coordinate of motion is a coordinate of linear motion that develops along a first axis of translation.
BONDING SYSTEM FOR DUAL WALLED TURBINE COMPONENTS
A system is for bonding a cover sheet to a core to form or repair a dual wall structure. The system includes a cover sheet probe and an inner pedestal probe. A three dimensional contoured tip of the cover sheet probe abuts against a three dimensional contoured outer surface of the cover sheet opposite a pedestal of the core. The pedestal abuts the inner surface of the cover sheet. The inner pedestal probe may be coupled to the core to create a conductive electrical path from the cover sheet probe through at least part of the structure. A flow of electric power is controlled and supplied to the cover sheet probe to heat a junction between the area of the cover sheet abutting the pedestal and the pedestal. A heated area is created in the junction and fixedly couples the coversheet and the pedestal.
Method for producing a composite sheet metal part having a metallic region, and corresponding molding tool
The invention relates to a method for producing a composite sheet metal part having at least one metallic region from a composite sheet metal blank which has two outer cover sheets of metal and at least one layer which is arranged between the cover sheets and consists of plastics material. The invention provides an apparatus and method by which complex formed composite sheet metal parts can easily be produced in a few steps and which still have metallic regions which can be used for joining to further parts.
Bonding probe for bonded dual walled turbine components
A bonding probe is used for bonding a cover sheet to a core to form or repair a dual wall structure. The bonding probe includes a body, an attachment end at a distal end of the body, a head at an opposite end of the body, a tip extending from the head, and a cooling passageway. The attachment end couples the body to a resistance welder. The tip extends to form a proximate end of the body. The tip includes a contacting area having a predetermined three dimensional contoured surface. The contacting area aligns with a predetermined area of a three dimensional outer surface of a cover sheet of a dual walled structure. The cooling passageway provides a passageway for a flow of cooling fluid. The cooling passageway extends through the head, and into the tip.
PRESSURIZING APPARATUS AND WELDING APPARATUS
A spot welding apparatus (10) according to the present invention includes: a circular cylindrical cam (12) having an outer circumferential surface, in which a spiral-shaped large lead cam groove (12a) inclined at a steep angle and a spiral-shaped small lead cam groove (12b) inclined at a gentle angle are formed; and a pressurizing shaft (13) including a plurality of rollers (R1, R2) insertable into the respective cam grooves (12a, 12b) and configured to move along an axis of rotation of the circular cylindrical cam (12) when the circular cylindrical cam (12) rotates. When the rollers (R1, R2) are inserted into the large lead cam groove (12a), a roller (R1, R2) located at one end side of a row comes into contact with one of two sides surfaces of the cam groove (12a) and a roller (R1, R2) located at another end side of the row comes into contact with the other one of the two side surfaces of the cam groove (12a), and when the rollers (R1, R2) are inserted into the small lead cam groove (12b), each of the rollers (R1, R2) comes into contact with at least one of one side surface and the other side surface of two side surfaces of the cam groove (12b).
