JOINING TWO COMPONENTS OF A FIELD DEVICE FOR PROCESSING AND AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY
A field device for processing and automation technology includes a first and a second component that can each be mechanically connected at a joining surface by means of a joining point. Two metal surface layers are each applied at least to the joining surface of the first component and the joining surface of the second component. The metal of the surface layers is different from the metal of the first and/or the metal of the second component. A joining material is applied between the respective joining surfaces of the two components, wherein the joining material includes particles at least partially consisting of a metal that corresponds with the metal of the surface layers The joining of the two components occurs at a joining temperature below 300° C.
HEAT TRANSFER UNIT
A heat transfer unit for a motor vehicle may include a metallic heat transfer block and a base plate. The heat transfer block may include channels that are configured to be flowed through. The base plate may include an outer region and a material bonding region. The base plate may be exposed towards the outside and may be materially bonded to the heat transfer block in the material bonding region. The base plate may be formed out of an aluminium, an aluminium alloy, or a wrought aluminium alloy. The outer region of the base plate may comprise a protective coating produced by anodising at least in regions, and the material bonding region of the base plate may not have a protective coating produced by anodising.
Mixed composition coating material for brazing
In a mixed composition coating material for brazing, when a total mass of a solid material, an organic solvent, and water is defined as 100 mass %, the solid material are contained in an amount of 30 mass % or greater and 80 mass % or less with respect to the whole coating material, the organic solvent and the water is contained in a total amount of 20 mass % or greater and 70 mass % or less with respect to the whole coating material, and the water is contained in an amount of 0.4 mass % or greater and 2.5 mass % or less with respect to the whole coating material.
Coating composition for tube of heat exchanger and coating method for tube of heat exchanger using the same
A coating composition for a heat exchanger tube including vanadium (V), a flux, and a binder, wherein the vanadium is included in an amount of 28 to 38 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the composition, and a coating method of a heat exchanger tube using the same are provided.
METHOD OF WELDING A NICKEL STRENGTH LUG WITH A BRONZE CONNECTING PIN AND A BRASS CONTACT RING IN AN ACCELEROMETER SENSOR
The present invention consists in a method of welding a nickel strength lug with a bronze connecting pin and a brass contact ring in an accelerometer sensor, the strength lug being interleaved between the connecting pin and the contact ring, the welding being effected electrically with the strength lug pressed simultaneously against the connecting pin and the contact ring. Before welding, the strength lug undergoes deformation of its external surface at least on each of two portions of the surface respectively facing the connecting pin and the contact ring, the surface deformation creating on each of the portions asperities intended to come into local contact with the connecting pin and the contact ring, respectively.
In-vehicle electronic module
There is a problem that contact resistance increases due to formation of an oxide film on a contact interface or biting of abrasion powder caused by micro-sliding when a contact connecting portion of a connection terminal including non-noble metal members is exposed to high temperature environment or a repetitious temperature cycle. An object of the present invention is to provide an in-vehicle electronic module that has connection reliability equivalent to that of the conventional in-vehicle electronic module even when being placed in the environment of an engine compartment and can achieve cost reduction by reducing the number of parts and assembly steps. The electronic module includes a mounting board having a circuit board on which an electronic component is mounted, and a case member for accommodating and protecting the mounting board from surrounding environment, The electronic module has a connection structure in which a portion of the circuit board is protruded to the outside through an opening of the case and inserts a board terminal into an external female connector to obtain electrical continuity, and a portion of the case member forms a connector housing that receives the female connector and isolates a space in which the board terminal is present from surrounding environment and an insulating resin member for fixing the circuit board in the case is integrally molded or joined with the circuit board.
HIGH TEMPERATURE COATINGS TO MITIGATE WELD CRACKING IN RESISTANCE WELDING
A high temperature substrate coating to mitigate liquid metal embrittlement (LME) cracking in automobile vehicles includes a substrate. A coating is disposed on the substrate, the coating being one of a zinc-based material and an aluminum-based material, with the coating having a melting point of at least 500° C.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HETEROMETALLIC ASSEMBLY AND HETEROMETALLIC ASSEMBLY
A method for manufacturing a dissimilar metal joint product includes: spraying a metal powder capable of being joined to a steel material to at least a part of a surface of an aluminum or aluminum-alloy material at a low temperature and at a high speed to form a coating thereon; disposing the aluminum or aluminum-alloy material and the steel material such that the coating and the steel material face each other; and performing brazing using a brazing material or welding using a welding material between the coating and the steel material.
Carbide wear surface and method of manufacture
A radial bearing having a wear surface with improved wear characteristics comprises a steel support, to which is bonded a metal carbide composite wear surface made by first arranging, within a cavity defined between a steel mold and the steel support, tiles made of microwave sintered, cemented metal carbide, closely packing the voids between the tiles with metal carbide powder, and infiltrating the mold cavity with a metal brazing alloy by subjecting the filled mold to rapid heating. The brazing alloy fills voids between the metal carbide particles, the microwave sintered metal carbide tiles, and the metal support, thereby relatively rapidly consolidating the carbide into a wear layer bonded with the steel support without substantially damaging the properties of the microwave-sintered metal carbide tiles.
