Systems and methods providing a torch that presents as a genuine manufacturer torch to a power source
Embodiments of welding and cutting systems are disclosed. A welding or cutting system includes a power source to provide electrical power for a welding or cutting process. The system includes a torch having a cryptographic device, and is to be used with the power source during the process and communicate with the power source. The cryptographic device is configured to receive an encryption key seeded by the power source during first time power-on initialization of the welding power source or after the torch is replaced. The cryptographic device is configured to store an unlock code associated with the power source, generate an encrypted message, which includes the unlock code, based on the encryption key, and communicate the encrypted message to the power source. The power source is configured to cease further operation unless the power source determines the torch to be a genuine manufacturer torch based on the unlock code.
Laser peening processing apparatus
According to one implementation, a laser peening processing apparatus includes a laser oscillator and an irradiation system. The laser oscillator oscillates a laser light. The irradiation system condenses the laser light with a lens and irradiates a workpiece with the condensed laser light. The irradiation system irradiates the workpiece with the laser light in a state where the workpiece has been exposed in an atmosphere without interposed liquid. Furthermore, according to one implementation, a laser peening processing method includes producing a product or a semi-product by laser peening processing of the workpiece using the above-mentioned laser peening processing apparatus.
Workpiece positioner and welding sequencer
Embodiments of welding work cells are disclosed. One embodiment includes a workpiece positioning system, a welding power source, and a welding job sequencer. The workpiece positioning system powers an elevating motion and a rotational motion of a workpiece mounted between a headstock and a tailstock to re-position the workpiece for a next weld to be performed. The welding power source generates welding output power based on a set of welding parameters of the power source. The welding job sequencer commands the workpiece positioning system to re-position the workpiece from a current position to a next position in accordance with a next step of a welding sequence of a welding schedule. The welding job sequencer also commands the welding power source to adjust a current set of welding parameters to a next set of welding parameters in accordance with the next step of the welding sequence of the welding schedule.
Augmented vision system with active welder guidance
Welding headwear comprises a display operable to present images for viewing by a wearer of the welding headwear, and comprises circuitry operable to determine an identifier associated with a workpiece, retrieve, from memory, welding work instructions associated with the identifier, and generate the images for presentation on the display based on said work instructions.
ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION SYSTEM
An electromagnetic radiation system (100) for directing an electromagnetic radiation beam at a target (130). The electromagnetic radiation system comprises an electromagnetic radiation source (110) for providing the electromagnetic radiation beam, a head (120) for projecting the electromagnetic radiation beam on to the target (130); and an umbilical assembly (140) connecting the electromagnetic radiation source (110) to the head (120) and configured to transmit the electromagnetic radiation beam to the head. The electromagnetic radiation system further comprises an optical isolator (150) positioned between the electromagnetic radiation source (110) and the umbilical assembly (140).
Welder guard system
A welder guard system is disclosed. According to various embodiments of the concepts and technologies described herein, the welder guard system can include a base and a lid attached to the base. The welder guard system can also include a safety switch system having an actuating device and a sensing device. The actuating device can be attached to the lid of the welder guard system and can provide a wireless signal. The sensing device can cause a welding device to prevent a welding jaw of the welding device from closing in response to activation of a clamping operation of the welding device when the sensing device fails to receive the wireless signal provided by the actuating device.
LASER EQUIPMENT FOR GOLD WORKSHOPS AND / OR DENTAL TECHNICIANS
A method is described for decontaminating room air by means of a tabletop apparatus (10) (or with dedicated stand) for the processing of metal costume jewelry/goldsmiths or dental prostheses through a LASER beam, wherein a source of UV and/or UV-C radiation irradiates a forced flow (F) of ambient air before it comes out of a casing of the apparatus.
Processing machine with nozzle changer and a protective enclosure
A processing machine for processing a workpiece with a processing beam includes a nozzle changer and a protective enclosure. The nozzle change is for mounting nozzles on or demounting nozzles from a processing head of the processing machine. The nozzle changer has multiple nozzle holders for holding nozzles. The protective enclosure is configured to close off a working space for the processing of the workpiece with the processing beam from a working space surrounding area. The nozzle changer is movable between a nozzle changing position within the protective enclosure and a setup position outside the protective enclosure.
LASER SCATTERED LIGHT MEASURING DEVICE
Provided is a laser scattered light measuring device capable of easily confirming the safety of laser scattered light to a human body. The laser scattered light measuring device includes a light receiving unit, a calculation unit, and a display unit. The light receiving unit receives laser scattered light generated by irradiating an object with laser light and detects intensity of the laser scattered light. The calculation unit compares the intensity of the laser scattered light received by the light receiving unit with a predetermined threshold value and calculates a degree of risk of the laser scattered light to a human body based on a comparison result. The display unit displays the degree of risk calculated by the calculation unit.
