Multi-functional ingester system for additive manufacturing
A method and an apparatus for collecting powder samples in real-time in powder bed fusion additive manufacturing may involves an ingester system for in-process collection and characterizations of powder samples. The collection may be performed periodically and uses the results of characterizations for adjustments in the powder bed fusion process. The ingester system of the present disclosure is capable of packaging powder samples collected in real-time into storage containers serving a multitude purposes of audit, process adjustments or actions.
Pipe support system, and method of use
A pipe support system. The pipe support system comprises a first wedge block and a second opposing wedge block. Each of the wedge blocks comprises a base having walls, and forming an angled top surface. The angled top surfaces face one another and support respective replaceable caps. The caps are configured to support a joint or section of pipe along an outer diameter of the pipe. Beneficially, the distance or spacing between the wedge blocks may be adjusted by an operator to accommodate sections of pipe having different diameters. A method for supporting a section of pipe is also provided.
CONTROL HEAD AND MAGNETIC HOLDER FOR AUTOMATIC WELDING
Double magnetic coupling for two welding heads that work parallel and independent at the front and at the back, (N) and (S), in paramagnetic and diamagnetic materials.
Fixture for automatic assembly, overturning and welding of sidewall aluminum profiles of rail vehicle
Provided is a fixture for automatic assembly, overturning and welding of sidewall aluminum profile of a rail vehicle, comprising a lifting mechanism, a supporting overturning device mounted on the lifting mechanism, an automatic assembling sidewall profile device mounted on the supporting overturning device, and a self-positioning locking device. The automatic assembling sidewall profile device comprises a sidewall-shaped support steel beam, and a rodless cylinder track platform and a fixing seat. The self-positioning locking devices are mounted on the rodless cylinder track platform and the fixing seat, and have a self-positioning base and a locking device. The self-positioning base comprises an outer housing is provided with the locking device and two symmetrically set self-positioning supports, and faces of the two self-positioning supports matching with the rail vehicle aluminum profile are provided with rollers having a V-shaped gap formed therebetween.
WELDING FIXTURE AND LOCKING METHOD
A welding fixture and a locking method are provided. The welding fixture includes a base and workpiece positioning dies; a top pressing plate slidably connected to the base in a pressing lifting direction is configured to press top surfaces of workpieces placed on the workpiece positioning dies; welding avoidance grooves are disposed on the top pressing plate, and each of the welding avoidance grooves is located above a corresponding one of the workpiece positioning dies; and a side-pressing mechanism disposed on the base is configured to perform and cancel lateral pressing of the workpieces. The welding fixture has advantages: the side-pressing mechanism can achieve tight pressing of sides of multiple workpieces at the same time, and the side-pressing mechanism can also cancel the tight pressing of the sides of the multiple workpieces after welding at the same time, which can greatly improve clamping efficiency and efficiency of unloading the workpieces.
Robotic welding system
A robotic welding system comprises a supporting arm for attaching to a repositionable support structure, the supporting arm comprising a first mounting portion connectable to the repositionable support structure, and a second mounting portion rotatably coupled to the first mounting portion. A yaw rotary actuator rotates the second mounting portion about a yaw axis. A welding arm comprises a third mounting portion rotatably coupled to the second mounting portion of the supporting arm. A pitch rotary actuator rotates the third mounting portion about a pitch axis generally perpendicular to the yaw axis. A roll rotary actuator rotates a torch holder shaft about a roll axis generally perpendicular to the pitch axis. The shaft has a torch mounting portion for mounting a welding torch at an end thereof. A controller is operably coupled to the actuators to cause the welding torch to execute a welding pattern.
Part manipulation using printed manipulation points
A manipulator device such as a robot arm that is capable of increasing manufacturing throughput for additively manufactured parts, and allows for the manipulation of parts that would be difficult or impossible for a human to move is described. The manipulator can grasp various permanent or temporary additively manufactured manipulation points on a part to enable repositioning or maneuvering of the part.
Railway rail induction-welding device
A railway rail induction-welding device is provided which includes a device support and a railway rail alignment means for aligning opposing railway rails in three mutually perpendicular directions, the railway rail alignment means being supported by the device support. The railway rail alignment means includes first and second railway-rail clamping elements to horizontally and longitudinally align the opposing railway rails when gripped by the first and second railway-rail clamping elements, with at least one of the first and second railway-rail clamping elements being movably supported by the device support, and a vertical lifting means for moving each railway-rail clamping element vertically to align the opposing railway rails. A railway rail clamping and lifting module, a vehicle a railway rail induction-welding device, and a method of inductively welding opposing railway rails together are also provided.
