Lap fillet arc welding joint

The present invention provides a lap fillet arc welding joint including a first metal sheet, a second metal sheet, and a weld bead. A region of the first metal sheet on one end side is bent. In a first direction, a position of a tip end of the bent region of the first metal sheet overlaps a region of the second metal sheet on one end side. In a second direction, an amount of deviation between a central axis of a region connected to the bent region of the first metal sheet and a central axis of the region of the second metal sheet on one end side is ½ times or less of average sheet thicknesses of the first metal sheet and the second metal sheet. A joint portion length is two times or more of the sheet thickness of the second metal sheet.

ROBOTIC MESH STRUCTURE GENERATION FOR CONCRETE FORMWORK AND REINFORCEMENT

In one aspect the invention relates to a mobile robotic end-effector tool for generating a mesh structure for use in reinforced concrete building systems. The tool comprises: —at least one robotic end-effector (EE), being movable in six degrees of freedom for applying an endless secondary mesh structure (2 ms) to the provided primary mesh structure (1 ms) continuously by roll spot welding, —wherein the at least one robotic end-effector (EE) further comprises: —a welding unit (W), in particular a resistance welding unit, configured for welding the secondary mesh structure (2 ms) to the primary mesh structure (1 ms) at predefined connection positions to generate cross-wire connections; —contact force sensors, configured for measuring the contact force of the robotic end-effector (EE), being applied to the primary mesh structure (1 ms) during rolling over the primary mesh structure (1 ms); —a processor (P) for closed loop control of the at least one robotic end-effector (EE) by means of control signals, wherein the control signals are generated at least in part in response to the measured contact force.

Rod thermometer device for detecting a temperature, use for the electrical simulation of nuclear fuel rods

The invention relates to rod thermometer device for detecting a temperature, including a plurality of temperature-sensitive elements and a protective sheath having an axis X in which the sensitive elements are partially inserted. The sheath is made of a metal constituting one of the two metals of a thermocouple, and the sensitive elements of a plurality of wires made of a metal other than that of the sheath and constituting the other one of the two metals of a thermocouple, one of the ends of each one of the wires being welded inside the sheath forming a junction for measuring a given thermocouple, the welded ends of the wires being distributed along a plurality of axial and azimuth positions relative to the axis X inside the sheath, each one of the wires extending out of the sheath by at least one of the ends thereof.

ARC SPOT WELDING METHOD AND WELDING APPARATUS FOR WORKING THE SAME

An arc spot welding method able to give a predetermined weld bead diameter or excess metal height in a back surface weld bead of arc spot welding and able to give a welded joint excellent in both strengths of TSS and CTS and a welding apparatus for working the same are provided. A steel sheet containing carbon in 0.2 mass % or more and having a sheet thickness “t” and at least one steel sheet containing carbon in 0.2 mass % or more and having a sheet thickness of “t” or more are arranged overlaid, a backing plate comprising a non-contact part and a contact part maintaining the back surface of the lower side steel sheet and the non-contact part in a non-contact state is arranged so that the contact part contacts the back surface of the lower side steel sheet at a position exceeding 3t from the circle equivalent center of the back surface weld bead, and arc generation and short-circuit conduction where the welding voltage between the welding wire and upper side steel sheet becomes 10V or less are alternately repeated so that the time period of the short-circuit conduction becomes over 30% to less than 60% per cycle to thereby weld the steel sheet.

Method for welding thin-walled tubes by means of peak temperature temper welding

A method is disclosed for connecting two components by TIG welding, the components consisting of an air-hardening steel alloy and, for example, of the material T23 or T24. A joint is produced between the components that are to be connected, said joint widening, in particular, from an inside toward an outside. First, a root layer is welded in the region of the inside. Subsequently, a fill layer adjoining the root layer is welded, so that the joint is at least 90% filled. Finally, a cover layer is welded onto the fill layer, whereby the welding parameters are prespecified in such a manner that a temperature in an optimizing temperature range is adjusted on the inside in the region of the root layer.

WELDING METHOD AND ELECTRICAL DEVICE

An object of the present invention is to suppress blow holes in welding using tough pitch copper.

A welding method includes a first step of heating at least a portion of a first conductor and a second conductor containing copper, and a second step of adding a filler metal containing phosphorus while melting the first conductor and the second conductor so that a phosphorus content rate in a welded portion at which an end portion of the first conductor and an end portion of the second conductor are connected to each other is equal to or more than 0.1%.

METHOD OF FORMING A SEALED JOINT BETWEEN A TUBULAR ARTICLE AND A SHEET ARTICLE

A method of forming a sealed joint between a tubular article (10) and a thin sheet article (14) wherein the articles (10, 14) are made of metallic materials that are capable of fusion welding together. One step in the method involves locating an end of the tubular article in a collar (20) surrounding a hole (12) formed in the thin sheet article (14). An end (22) of the tubular article (14) is positioned to lie substantially flush with a proximal end (24) of the collar (20). Next the ends (22, 24) of the collar and the tubular article are fusion welded forming a circumferential bead (26) creating an integral joint. Consequently in effect the previously separate a tubular article (10) and a thin sheet article (14) become a single piece.
