The transfer machine further includes at least one rotary unit able to rotate a workpiece-holder member about a respective axis and relative to the table, wherein the rotary unit includes a motor assembly located in the machine base at a distance (d) from the machine axis which is less than the working radius (r).
OMNI-DIRECTIONAL COMPUTERIZED NUMERICAL CONTROL (CNC) MACHINE TOOL AND METHOD OF PERFORMING THE SAME
A computer numerical control (CNC) machining apparatus and method are disclosed which comprise: a first base; a second base vertically perpendicular to the first base; a tool head support assembly having a tool head, connected to and move a tool head in an omni-directional; and a plurality of rotatable clamps configured to independently hold, release, and move a workpiece along the first base and independently rotate a workpiece 360° around itself.
TRANSFER MACHINE WITH A ROTARY TABLE
A transfer machine for machining operations includes a frame, a rotary table with a rotary feeding movement relative to a machine axis, a plurality of workpiece-holder members associated with the rotary table and spaced by a working radius (r) from the machine axis, and a plurality of workstations accessible by the workpiece-holder members as a result of the feeding movement of the table. The transfer machine further includes at least one rotary unit able to rotate a workpiece-holder member about a respective axis and relative to the table, wherein the rotary unit includes a motor assembly located in the machine base at a distance (d) from the machine axis which is less than the working radius (r).
ROTATION DEVICE FOR A WORKPIECE
A rotation device to reorient a workpiece includes a retainer. The retainer accepts the workpiece in an open configuration and retains the workpiece in a closed configuration. The retainer forms two or more ring segments in the closed position. The rotation device includes a base to support the retainer. The base includes a plurality of retainer supports in working relation to the two or more ring segments to enable rotation of the retainer from a first orientation where the first structure contacts the retainer supports to a second orientation where the second structure contacts the retainer supports.
Waterjet cutting machine comprising a device for moving a plate in a plane
A device for moving a plate oriented in a plane P in a direction parallel to that plane P, said plate including at least two opposite edges parallel to one another, said plate including at least two arms parallel to one another and movable in a plane parallel to said plane P, one of said arms being directly moved by a first actuator, the other arm being driven by said first arm via a connection member, a drive member mounted on the free end of each of said two arms such as to be pivotable about an axis perpendicular to said plane P and moved by a second actuator, each drive member engaging with an actuation member arranged along one of the edges of the plate.
MACHINING CENTER FOR MACHINING AN ELONGATE WORKPIECE
Provided is a machining center, in particular a 5-axis milling machine, for machining an elongate workpiece, in particular a turbine blade, including an elongate machine bed extending in a longitudinal direction, a machining device movably retained on the machine bed, two clamping devices, which are retained on the machine bed in such a way that the clamping devices lie opposite each other in the longitudinal direction and which are designed to clamp the free ends of the workpiece and to rotate the clamped workpiece about a workpiece axis of rotation, wherein at least one clamping device can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the machine bed and at least one clamping device has a drive device designed to rotate the clamped workpiece, in particular a stepper motor, and a steady rest, which is retained on the machine bed and positioned between the clamping devices.
Workpiece changer
A workpiece change for use in a machine tool that comprises a tool spindle for clamping tools for machining workpieces, comprises two wheels arranged parallel to one another and rotatable about an axis of rotation into at least two prominent angular positions. Two swivel tables for clamping workpieces are arranged between the wheels and are each mounted on the wheels to swivel about a swivel axis which runs parallel to the axis of rotation. In each prominent angular position, one of the swivel tables is located in its working position in which clamped workpieces can be machined with the tools. Both wheels are supported at their rim.

Method and machine for machining parts in bar form with automatic part reversing and recalibration system
An automatic method for changing the machining reference frame on a machine for machining parts from bars, notably extruded or molded profile sections, the part to be machined being held during its machining by at least two distinct and independent clamping means each having a longitudinal movement and a rotation on an axis parallel to the long axis of the part to be machined allowing for a relative angular and longitudinal displacement of one relative to the other, a method whereby, in order to proceed with a change of reference frame, one of the clamping means releases the part to be machined and disengages therefrom to turn freely about the long axis of the part independently of the other clamping means, then aligns itself angularly on new clamping references of the part before retaking the latter and allowing for a change of grip by the other clamping means.
