The disclosure relates to a method for controlling a motor of a hand-held power tool by means of a blockable operating element, wherein a first position and a second position of the operating element are ascertained. According to the disclosure, the motor remains deactivated if a deviation of the ascertained first position from the ascertained second position is less than a threshold value.

A machine tool having a tool holder for exchangeably holding a tool is provided, the machine tool including: a machine tool housing; a spindle rotatably mounted in the machine tool housing a drive end being connected to a drive for rotating the spindle about an axis of rotation and a holding end being coupled to the tool holder; and a locking device arranged in the machine tool housing and which has a locking element reversibly movable between a release position and a locking position, a locking end of the locking element having an interlocking connector and the spindle having a mating interlocking connector, the interlocking connector being disengaged from the mating interlocking connector in the release position to enable rotational motion of the spindle, and the interlocking connector being engaged with the mating interlocking connector in the locking position to prevent rotational motion of the spindle and to enable an exchange of the tool of the tool holder, the locking device also including an electrically insulating mounting device for mounting the locking element in the machine tool housing to electrically insulate the locking element from the machine tool housing.

A processing machine includes: an external cover that forms an appearance of the processing machine and defines and forms an internal space; and a safety belt connection portion that is disposed in the internal space and to which a safety belt is connectable. The external cover includes an openable lid. The safety belt connection portion is exposed to an outside of the internal space through an opening that is generated in the external cover when the lid is in an open state.

In an apparatus for detecting tip-over of a rammer equipped with a crankcase accommodating an output shaft rotatably connected to an engine, a movable unit accommodating a converter mechanism for converting rotation of the output shaft to vertical motion of a movable member, a tamping shoe connected to the movable unit, and a handle operable by an user, and adapted to thrust upward in the gravitational direction by the vertical motion of the movable member and go into a free fall to compact a ground surface, it is determined whether a detected engine speed becomes equal to or smaller than a threshold value set lower than an engine idling speed when the engine has been operated at a rammer working speed set greater than the engine idling speed, and if it does, it is discriminated that the rammer has tipped over.

Disclosed is a machine tool including: a cover that encloses a processing space in which a workpiece is processed and has a window portion for visual inspection of the processing space from outside; a machining processing unit provided in the processing space; an operation panel for inputting instructions to the machining processing unit, the operation panel being provided outside of the cover; and a cooling system for cooling the machining processing unit, wherein the cooling system includes: a coolant supply unit for supplying a coolant into the processing space; a coolant protection unit that operates to limit adhesion of the coolant to the window portion; and a control unit that switches a state of the coolant protection unit based on a result of detection performed by a sensor for detecting an operator present around the cover. With this machine tool, waste of energy can be suppressed.
Method for detecting a substance
A method is provided for detecting a substance, preferably human tissue, in the vicinity of a mobile tool, wherein the substance to be detected has different electrical characteristics from a material that can be processed by the mobile tool. In the method, a change is detected in a capacitance formed by the tool and a counter electrode that is electrically insulated from the tool. A periodic change in the capacitance is detected and the change is produced by the presence of the substance in a region in relation to the tool and by a periodic change in a geometrical characteristic of the tool in this region as the tool moves.

A method enables at least one active operating state of a hand-held power tool with at least one infrastructure unit as a function of whether protective equipment is carried and/or worn by an operator of the hand-held power tool. A mobile functional unit is integrated into the hand-held power tool. The mobile functional unit is configured to control the at least one active operating state of the hand-held power tool by (i) transmitting at least one ID of a first protective equipment element of a first piece of protective equipment to a first infrastructure unit, the first infrastructure unit receiving the at least one ID of the first protective equipment element of the first piece of protective equipment, and (ii) transmitting at least a first signal from the first infrastructure unit to the mobile functional unit.

Blade Guard for Saw of Saw House and Method
A blade guard assembly for a circular saw blade of a saw house includes a blade cover with a face panel and an edge portion that extends from the face panel. An actuator is mountable the blade cover and the structure of the saw house. When the blade guard assembly is mounted in saw house, the blade cover is movable with the actuator between a covered position and an exposed position. In the covered position, the face panel and edge portion at least partially surround the saw blade. In the exposed position, the face panel is spaced from the saw blade.
