In some examples, a moveable member including multiple tools is moveable relative to a fixed member to position a selected tool for performing an operation. A first connector half may be included on the fixed member for connecting to one of a plurality of second connector halves included on the moveable member. Movement of the moveable member to position the selected tool for performing the operation moves a respective second connector half associated with the selected tool into connection with the first connector half. In addition, a respective nozzle assembly may be associated with each tool. The respective nozzle assembly may receive multiple fluids including at least one fluid received through the connection between the connector halves. The nozzle assembly includes an inner nozzle that outputs a gas and an annular outer nozzle that outputs a machining liquid to generate a mixture to direct toward a tool-workpiece interface.

A cutting processing system includes: a spindle mounted with a cutting tool in which a lubrication discharge path is formed along the central axis thereof for rotating the cutting tool; a lance provided inside the spindle in order to supply oil and air to the cutting tool; and a rotary union mounted on the end portion of the spindle for supplying the oil and the air to the lance in a non-mixed state.

A coolant supply comprises a supply sleeve which is arranged on the retaining ring via a rotary bearing and comprises a coolant connection and a supply area adjoining a connection area of the retaining ring. Starting from at least one inlet opening in the connection area of the retaining ring, at least one passage leads through the retaining ring to at least one outlet opening which faces the central opening of the retaining ring and is designed for a machining element in a receiving area. No space is required for the coolant supply between the retaining ring and an assigned lathe.

Piston actuated rotary union

A rotary union includes a housing forming a bore and a piston bore having an open end and disposed at a radially offset distance with respect to the bore. The piston bore is fluidly isolated from the bore. A seal carrier is slidably disposed within the bore, and includes an actuation arm extending radially outwardly relative to the bore such that it overlaps the piston bore. A piston slidably disposed in the piston bore is extendible to releasably abut the actuation arm and urge the seal carrier to displace relative to the bore when the piston displaces relative to the piston bore.

A pneumatic spindle with coolant through to the cutting bit is described. The pneumatic spindle includes a shank with a shank first end (USMA). A rotary union housing that is adapted to rotatably couple to the shank. A floating rotary union seal is rotatably coupled to an internal passage of rotary union housing. The rotary union housing includes a second end formed with a threaded circular opening and the pneumatic spindle first end is threaded to rotatably join with the threaded circular opening of the rotary union housing. The floating rotary union seal includes a first end, a floating rotary union seal second end and a floating rotary union seal internal passage. The floating rotary union seal second end formed as a circular bearing surface, and the floating rotary union seal internal passage directs the coolant fluid between the floating rotary union seal first end and the floating rotary union seal second end.

The motor includes a motor housing, a rotary shaft that is hollow, the flinger that is integrally attached to the rotary shaft outside the motor housing, and a peripheral wall that is provided in the motor housing and projects in the axial direction of a spindle so as to surround the periphery of the flinger. The peripheral wall has cutouts in its side surface so as to establish communication between the interior and exterior of the peripheral wall, to thereby form protrusions projecting in the axial direction of the rotary shaft and an annular top plate portion provided on the distal end of the protrusions.
