The shaft includes an outer surface and a shaft bore having inlet and outlet ends. The device includes a washer positioned over the shaft and including a first flat side surface and a second side surface having at least a portion angled with respect to the first flat side surface in operative contact with the socket wall. The device includes a bushing positioned over the shaft and including a bore having an inner surface spaced apart from the outer surface of the shaft by a gap. The bushing includes a first end surface proximate the inlet end and a second end surface in operative contact with the first flat side surface of the washer.
Piston actuated rotary union
A rotary union includes a housing forming a bore and a piston bore having an open end and disposed at a radially offset distance with respect to the bore. The piston bore is fluidly isolated from the bore. A seal carrier is slidably disposed within the bore, and includes an actuation arm extending radially outwardly relative to the bore such that it overlaps the piston bore. A piston slidably disposed in the piston bore is extendible to releasably abut the actuation arm and urge the seal carrier to displace relative to the bore when the piston displaces relative to the piston bore.
PEELING MACHINE FOR ELONGATED PRODUCTS
The peeling machine, comprising: a rotating head installed rotating about an axis of rotation and provided with a central cavity in which, during use, there is disposed an elongated product to be worked; the rotating head is provided with a plurality of tools and with at least one adjustment unit configured to move the tools away from or toward the elongated product; a first motor configured to make the rotating head rotate about the axis of rotation; and a transmission unit configured to transmit motion from a second motor to the adjustment unit in order to simultaneously adjust the radial position of the tools; the transmission unit comprises a differential device kinematically connected between the second motor and the adjustment unit so that an adjustment of the position of the tools with respect to the elongated product corresponds to the drive of the second motor.
Fluid transfer coupling
A coupling for conveying a fluid between a stationary part and a rotatable part having confronting ports centered on a rotation axis of the rotatable part has an axially extending tube fixed in the port of one of the parts and extending toward the port of the other of the parts and a control element axially slidable on the tube. The one part, the tube, and the control element form an annular chamber around the tube pressurizable for axially shifting the control element. A first slide ring is connected to the control element and carries a seal ring turned toward the port of the other part, and a second ring on the other part at the port thereof axially bears on the first slide ring so that pressurization of chamber presses the slide rings axially against each other.
COOLANT APPLICATION DEVICE
The present invention provides a technique in which service life of a coolant application device can be extended. The coolant application device includes a nozzle body which spouts coolant, a hollow shaft which rotates the nozzle body, a motor which controls a rotation angle of the hollow shaft, and an Oldham coupling portion which connects the hollow shaft and an output shaft of the motor, the Oldham coupling portion transmits driving force of the motor to the hollow shaft, allowing a misalignment between an axis of the hollow shaft and an axis of the output shaft.
ROTARY UNION WITH INTEGRAL SENSOR ARRAY
The disclosure describes a rotary device that includes a housing, a rotating machine component, a rotating member associated with the rotating machine component, a non-rotating member disposed within the housing adjacent the rotating member, and a sensor array disposed in the housing. The sensor array includes a plurality of sensing elements that are integrated with a control device and a wireless communication device. The wireless communication device is configured to communicate with a central control that is remotely located relative to the housing using electromagnetic waves.
Sealing system for a tool holder
The present invention concerns a sealing system for a tool holder of a fluid-assisted axial machining or milling machine, including:—at least first and second seals contributing to define a space for the flow of fluid to at least one inner channel of the tool, one of the seals being applied to the tool or an optional adapter carrying the tool and the other seal a) being applied to the tool or to the adapter carrying the tool or b) being applied to a surface spaced apart from the tool and rotating with same, with 0.3≦Do/Dj.sub.max for Do in the interval [1; 3] in mm and 0.5≦Do/Djmax for Do in the interval [3; 20] in mm, where Do is the diameter of the tool facing this other seal and Djmax is the internal diameter of this seal.
Rotary union with integral sensor array
A rotary union that includes rotating and non-rotating machine components, each having a sealing ring, which can together form a mechanical face seal. A rotor disposed on the rotating machine component includes one or more magnets. A sensor array disposed in the housing includes a plurality of sensing elements that are integrated with a control device, a communication device, and a power storage device. The sensor array further includes a magnetic pickup coil disposed to closely overlap the outer periphery of the rotor. When the rotating machine component rotates, the magnet creates a rotating magnetic field that cooperates with the magnetic pickup coil to produce electrical power to operate the sensor array.
Tool Holder Suitable for Hybrid Cryogenic Minimum Quantity Lubrication
The invention provides a tool holder suitable for cryogenic minimum quantity lubrication, which belongs to the technical field of cooling and lubrication of numerical control machine tools. The device comprises a toolholder body, a peripheral static structure, a multilayer sealing structure, a heat insulation structure, and a bearing support structure. The invention solves the problems of insufficient cooling performance in the micro-lubrication technology and insufficient lubrication in the cryogenic cooling machining technology, and integrates the oxygen insulation protection effect of the cryogenic medium, the cooling effect of the cryogenic medium, and the friction reduction and lubrication effect of the micro-lubrication. It has a good processing effect on difficult-to-cut materials. The invention can be used for machining difficult-to-cut materials with traditional numerical control machine tools, expands the application range of external to internal cooling tool holders, effectively reduces the cutting heat of difficult-to-cut materials in cutting processing, improves tool life, and replaces traditional cutting fluids to achieve green manufacturing.
Rotary seal
