Tool bit changing system
A tool changing system that includes a tool mount adapter and a tool holder. The tool mount adapter is configured to be attached to a tool and selectively engage and disengage a tool bit. The tool provides movement to the engaged tool bit to perform work on a workpiece. The tool holder is positioned in proximity to hold the tool bit when the tool bit is not engaged by the tool. The tool holder can also selectively engage and disengage the tool bit.
LOCKABLE TOOL CLAMP
A lockable tool clamp includes two jaw members and a pin together installed on a mount to clamp a tool holder securely. The jaw members each have a connecting portion and a jaw tip. The two connecting portions are overlapped and connected to the mount through a shaft. The pin when installed on the mount is parallel to the shaft, and passes through the two jaw members at a location different from where the shaft passes through the two jaw members. When the pin is in its unlocking position, the jaw members are allowed to pivot with respect to each other, so that the tool holder can be withdrawn or replaced by pushing the jaw tips apart. When the pin is in its locking position, the jaw members are restricted from pivoting with respect to each other. At this time, the tool holder is clamped between the jaw tips securely.
DRUM-TYPE TOOL MAGAZINE ADAPTIVE TO MULTI-AXIS MACHINING CENTER
A drum-type tool magazine adaptive to a multi-axis machining center allows the machining center to use spindles to directly take and replace tool holders that hold machining tools. The drum-type tool magazine includes a driving member, a drum, and plural tool clamps. The drum is centrally provided with a rotating shaft and peripherally provided with plural separated mounts that are arranged circularly. The driving member drives the drum to rotate. Plural tool clamps are arranged abreast on each of the mount. Every tool clamp of the same mount has a tool-clamping jaw parallel to a tangential direction at a periphery of the drum and communicated with the tool clamp so that the machining tool when clamped is laid horizontal and located close to the periphery of the drum. This allows the volume of the tool magazine to be minimized.
Conveyance chain, tool change system and multiple link plates
A conveyance chain comprises a plurality of link plates alternately coupled and conveying plural tool pots each holding a tool. The plurality of link plates include an inner link plate and an outer link plate each including a rotation stop hole that stops a rotation of the tool pot and a rotation permit hole located upstream from the rotation stop hole with respect to a conveyance direction that permits a rotation of the tool pot. The plurality of tool pots includes a first tool pot and a second tool pot, the first tool pot is inserted through a rotation stop hole of the inner link plate and a rotation permit hole of the outer link plate, and adjacent to the first tool pot, the second tool pot is inserted through a rotation permit hole of the inner link plate and a rotation stop hole of the outer link plate.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING FAILURE IN HOLDING TOOL OF MACHINE TOOL
Provided is an apparatus for detecting a failure in holding a tool of a machine tool that includes, in each of a plurality of tool holding mechanisms in a tool magazine, a locking member provided to have different self-displacement positions for a case where a tool is held at a proper held position between tool gripping portions of a pair of holding arms and a case where the tool is held with deviation from the proper held position, and that detects a holding failure state of the tool in the tool holding mechanism by detecting the position of a detection target portion that moves integrally with the locking member with a predetermined detector provided in the machine tool. The apparatus makes it possible to effectively prevent a risk of a breakdown of and damage to the machine tool.

Device for attaching and detaching tool in magazine
The present disclosure relates to a device for attaching and detaching tools in a magazine, and more particularly, to a device for attaching and detaching tools in a magazine of a machine tool, the device being capable of attaching or detaching a tool having directionality to or from each gripper of the magazine of the machine tool while accurately adjusting a fixed position of the tool.
TOOL POT
Provided is a tool pot overcoming a problem that dirt adhered to the tool pot is transferred to a contact face of a tool. A pull stud holder includes a pusher that moves in a direction orthogonal to an axis of the tool whereby a tapered face provided at a distal end of the pusher pushes a tapered face of a pull stud in an axial direction of the tool. A base member includes a pull stud receiver that receives an end face of the pull stud. The pusher and the pull stud receiver prevent rotation of the pull stud and movement thereof in the axial direction of the tool. A flange holder includes a key that fits into a keyway of a flange, thereby preventing rotation of the flange.
Tool holder locking device
A tool holder locking device has a base, a horizontal support mounted on the base to hold a first tool holder, and a vertical support mounted on the base to vertically hold a second tool holder. The horizontal support has a supporting block having a holding cavity and an engaging rib radially protruding from the holding cavity to engage with a gripper groove of the first tool holder, a first positioning member fixed on the supporting block to engage with a positioning notch of the first tool holder, and a second member fixed on the supporting block to engage with an orientation notch of the first tool holder. The vertical support has a supporting sleeve and a positioning block mounted on a bottom of the supporting sleeve and extending along a radial direction of the supporting sleeve to engage with two driving grooves of the second tool holder.
