Rotary Table
A rotary table (1) includes a base body (10), a worm wheel (21), an inner ring (22), a plurality of rolling elements, and a worm screw unit (30). The worm screw unit (30) includes a worm screw (31) held to be rotatable around an axis and having a second gear (31A) meshing with the first gear (215), and a worm screw housing (32) surrounding and holding the worm screw (31) and being fixed to contact the holding surface at a planar contacting surface thereof. One of the holding and contacting surfaces has a cylindrical pin (33) arranged to protrude therefrom. The other of the holding and contacting surfaces has a first recess (11) formed to receive the pin (33), the first recess having a width corresponding to the pin (33) and being elongated in the radial direction of the worm wheel (21).
Built-in type electric driving system of machine tool and operation method therefor
Disclosed is a built-in type electric driving system of a machine tool. The system is capable of directly connecting a motor, which drives a spindle in a lathe which processes a workpiece, to an outer surface of the spindle without using a belt to rotate the spindle, and is capable of selectively transferring the power of the motor to a rotation system including a drawbar and a spindle for driving a chuck using a clutch device.

ACTIVELY PRELOADED DRIVE-GUIDEWAY SYSTEM
A machining system for controlling and moving work tools during machining and assembly operations. The system has multiple drive-guide systems that allow work tools to be moved along all three perpendicular Cartesian axes. The drive-guide systems have rollers that are designed to fit and move along rails, thus altering the position of the work tools. A plurality of magnets apply axial pre-load to the rollers, keeping them adequately positioned on the rails. Likewise, a preloaded roller may be used to modify the radial force applied to the drive rollers. Both this radial and axial preload can be adjusted to reduce calibration and tolerance errors throughout machining and assembly processes.
MOVABLE TABLE ASSEMBLY FOR A MACHINE TOOL OF LARGE DIMENSIONS
A table assembly for a machine tool is provided. The table assembly has a slide, a rotatable table and a table rotation mechanism placed on board the slide and adapted to be driven to rotate the table about a vertical axis. The table rotation mechanism has at least one rotation assembly engaged with a ring gear of the table. The at least one rotation assembly has a torque motor having a vertical motor axis and a reduction gear having an inlet engaged with the torque motor, and an outlet pinion engaged with the ring gear of the table, coaxial to the motor axis. The machine tool is a milling machine or a gantry boring machine.
Backlash automatic detection system for machine tool and method using the same
A backlash automatic detection system comprises a control device and a machine tool. The machine tool comprises a servo driver, a lead screw, a nut seat and a platform. The method comprises: entering an initial state and outputting a control command to the servo driver through the control device; driving the lead screw by the servo driver to move the nut seat towards a first direction and changing the movement direction of the nut seat towards a reverse second direction by the servo driver; defining a backlash phenomenon period according to one time point at which the nut seat starts to move towards the second direction and another time point at which the platform is driven to move by the nut seat; defining the displacement of the nut seat corresponding to the backlash phenomenon period as a backlash value.

TILT DEVICE FOR MACHINE TOOL
A tilt device includes: a drive motor that provides a drive force for swinging a tilt member; an auxiliary cylinder coupled to the tilt member to assist swing of the tilt member by the drive motor; and a control device that performs drive control of the drive motor and the auxiliary cylinder. In the movable range of the tilt member, a moment about the swing axis generated in the tilt member by the gravitational force is always directed to only one side in the rotational direction, and an assistive moment about the swing axis provided to the tilt member by a cylinder pressure is always directed to only the other side in the rotational direction. The control device fluctuates the cylinder pressure such that the assistive moment is less than the moment generated in the tilt member by the gravitational force.
