Tool support incorporating a guidance system spaced apart from the tool and machining device incorporating the tool support
A tool support is disclosed including-a fixed part, a moving part that is movable relative to the fixed part, a first crossmember linked to the moving part and a second crossmember. A tool includes a tool axis linked to the first and second crossmembers by pivoting links including articulation axes. A pointer is provided with a pointer axis parallel to the tool axis, the pointer being linked to the first and second crossmembers by pivoting links including articulation axes, with the articulation axes being parallel to one another. The tool support includes an immobilizer of occupy a first immobilized state in which it prevents a rotational movement on at least one articulation axis and a second released state in which it allows rotational movement on the articulation axes.
Sharpening System for Ice Skate Runners
A skate sharpening system comprises an adjustor assembly and a skate holder assembly. A runner is releasably coupled to a template runner, and then clamped into the skate holder assembly. The template runner defines a pre-defined profile for the blank runner. An operator moves the skate holder assembly such that the template runner moves along a guide bearing of the adjustor assembly. The guide bearing is disposed proximate a grinding wheel. While the template runner remains in contact with the adjustable guide bearing, the runner remains in contact with, and moves along, the grinding wheel such that the grinding wheel simultaneously sharpens and contours the runner.

Curved plate machining apparatus, and method of manufacturing curved plate with machined outer circumference
A machining apparatus for a curved plate includes a holder that holds a main surface of a curved plate having curved surfaces on both main surfaces; a machining device that machines an outer circumference of the curved plate held by the holder; a movable frame that retains the machining device; a driver that moves the movable frame to move a machining point of the curved plate held by the holder; a controller that controls the driver; and a guide that guides the movable frame along the outer circumference of the curved plate held by the holder.

Cam grinding machine and cam grinding method
A cam grinding method includes: a common base circle portion setting step of obtaining an angular range of a common surface based on first cam lift data of a first cam and second cam lift data of a second cam; a first cam grinding step of grinding the first cam; a second cam grinding step of grinding the second cam; and a common base circle portion traverse grinding step of, after the second cam grinding step, moving a grinding wheel in a traverse direction to perform spark-out of an unground part remaining at the boundary between the first and second cams.
Grinding tool
A grinding tool includes a substrate having a surface provided with a plurality of openings, and a plurality of grinding studs. Each of the grinding studs includes a stud portion and an abrasive particle attached to each other, the stud portions being respectively attached into the openings, and the abrasive particles protruding outward from the surface, each of the abrasive particles having a pattern cut across a tip thereof to define multiple apexes adjacent to one another.
