FINISHING DEVICE
20170239776 · 2017-08-24 ·

A finishing device includes a finishing belt, a finishing belt holding device, a first drive configured to rotationally drive a workpiece about a workpiece axis, and a second drive configured to oscillate the workpiece and the finishing belt relative to another along the workpiece axis. The finishing belt holding device has a holding section configured to hold a portion of the finishing belt. The portion has an active area configured to finish a circumferential workpiece surface. The portion extends in a plane which is vertical when referring to the direction of gravity and extends in a horizontal direction when referring to the direction of gravity and when viewing in the running direction of the finishing belt. The finishing device includes a workpiece holding device defining a workpiece holding axis which is vertical when referring to the direction of gravity.

Apparatus and method for honing tubulars of a wellsite

The disclosure relates to a tool for honing a tubular component of a wellsite. The honing tool includes a base operatively connectable to a wellsite component, a honing head supported by the base, honing stones supported about the honing head, and a driver. The honing stones are engageable with an outer surface of the tubular component. The driver rotationally drives the honing head whereby the honing stones hone an outer periphery of the tubular component.

HONING METHOD AND INNER CAM WITH C-SHAPED CROSS SECTION
20170266776 · 2017-09-21 ·

An inner cam has a substantially C-shaped cross section, an arcuately shaped inner circumferential surface of which is ground with high precision by such a honing method. The inner circumferential surface has a discontinuous portion. The honing method includes a fixing step and a grinding step. A plurality of inner cams, in which openings are provided between both ends thereof in the circumferential direction, are stacked, and the arcuately shaped inner circumferential surfaces thereof are subjected to grinding. In the fixing step, the relative positions of the plurality of inner cams are fixed such that a resultant force against the inner cams arranged on both end sides in the stacking direction, and a resultant force against the inner cams arranged on a central side in the stacking direction are opposed to each other mutually at a center location of the stacking direction.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY STRAW AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
20210197508 · 2021-07-01 ·

The invention teaches an environmentally friendly straw and its manufacturing method. The straw includes a tubular body having a through channel inside connecting two openings respectively at two ends of the tubular body, an outer layer surrounding the tubular body between the two openings formed by a leveling machine, an inner layer, as an inner wall of the tubular body, surrounding the channel formed by a honing machine. The straw is manufactured by leveling the tubular body, and honing the channel by a honing machine. As such, a smooth layer between the channel and the tubular body is achieved so that the straw is convenient to clean and use.
