Burnishing tool and method of manufacturing the same
A burnishing tool and a method of additively manufacturing components of the burnishing tool are provided. The burnishing tool includes a burnishing element for burnishing a workpiece. The burnishing element is positioned between an upper nozzle and a lower nozzle which are additively manufactured to define a plurality of internal fluid passageways for receiving, distributing, and discharging a burnishing fluid to facilitate cooling and/or lubrication of the burnishing element and/or the workpiece.
FLOOR GRINDING MACHINE, METHOD OF OPERATING FLOORGRINDING MACHINE
The present disclosure relates to a floor grinding machine for grinding floor surfaces of stone or stone-like material. Such a machine comprises a machine frame, a grinding head 2, supported by and being rotatable relative to the machine frame, a grinding head hood 2, which defines a space in which the grinding head 1 is rotatable, a hollow and resilient member 4, arranged in the space, and a pressurized fluid source, operatively connected to the hollow member 4 to supply said pressurized fluid, whereby the hollow member 4 is resiliently expandable upon supply of said fluid.
DEVICE FOR COVERING A TOOTH PROFILE
A device for covering a tooth profile during machined processing with a tool, including an appliance for applying cooling lubricant to at least one contact area between the tool and the tooth profile during machine processing of the tooth profile by means of the tool. The appliance includes a guiding means by means of which a front face of the tooth profile in an area that is facing towards the contact area and an environment of the tooth profile in front of the area can be at least partially covered. The appliance is formed with at least one conduit which, in the operational state of the guiding means in which the tooth profile is covered, is arranged so as to extend in front of the tooth profile in the area that is shielded by the guiding means, and via which cooling lubricant can be supplied to the contact area through the guiding means.
WAFER POLISHING APPARATUS
The present invention provides a wafer polishing apparatus, including: a surface plate having a polishing pad attached on an upper surface thereof; a slurry injection nozzle configured to inject slurry toward the polishing pad; at least one polishing head configured to accommodate a wafer and rotate at an upper portion of the surface plate; an index configured to support so as to connect the at least one polishing head at an upper portion thereof; and a particle suction part coupled to the index and configured to suck particles generated during polishing of the wafer.
Planar grinder
A sample grinder includes a base having a bowl and a rotatable drive plate to operably support a grinding wheel. A head is configured to support a specimen holder and has a first drive for rotational drive of the specimen holder and a second drive for moving the head and specimen holder toward and away from the drive plate. The head has a sleeve that is larger than the specimen holder. A cover is disposed over the bowl and has an opening larger than the sleeve so that the sleeve fits through the opening when the specimen holder is moved toward the rotatable drive plate. The grinding wheel is mountable to the plate in a single radial orientation only. A dressing system is operably connected to a controller to monitor the current of the drive plate motor and/or the head first drive actuates the dressing system based upon the current drawn by the drive plate motor and/or the head first drive motor falling below a predetermined value.
Apparatus and a process for grinding an edge and a glazing having a ground edge
An apparatus for edge grinding a glazing comprising a grinding wheel, rotatable about an axis, a groove in a circumference of the wheel and first and second orifices arranged on first and second sides of the plane of the groove, which form first and second jets of coolant directed substantially into the groove on first and second trajectories not in the plane of the groove. A corresponding process for edge grinding causes fewer sharp portions and fewer small fractures in the glazing edge than the prior art. A glazing manufactured by the apparatus or the process has higher edge strength than the prior art.
BURNISHING TOOL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A burnishing tool and a method of additively manufacturing components of the burnishing tool are provided. The burnishing tool includes a burnishing element for burnishing a workpiece. The burnishing element is positioned between an upper nozzle and a lower nozzle which are additively manufactured to define a plurality of internal fluid passageways for receiving, distributing, and discharging a burnishing fluid to facilitate cooling and/or lubrication of the burnishing element and/or the workpiece.

Protective cooling cover which comprises a hollow shell defining a generally semi-cylindrical cavity (15) that covers a portion of a cutting disc (2) at the top and that is delimited by two lateral walls (11, 12) and a curved perimeter wall (13), a cooling device including a tube connected to a cooling liquid supply and to a cooling liquid projecting nozzle (31), and a fastening device for fixing said cooling liquid projecting nozzle at different positions within the cavity (15) of the shell for projecting cooling liquid to different areas of the cutting disc, said fastening device including a plurality of first fasteners connected to the periphery of the cavity, and a second fastener connected to the cooling liquid projecting nozzle (31), said first and second fasteners providing a snap fit releasable connection.
PLANAR GRINDER
A sample grinder includes a base having a bowl and a rotating drive plate to operably support a grinding wheel. A head is configured to support a specimen holder and has a first drive for rotational drive of the specimen holder and a second drive for moving the head and specimen holder toward and away from the drive plate. The head has a sleeve that is larger than the specimen holder. A cover is disposed over the bowl and has an opening larger than the sleeve so that the sleeve fits through the opening when the specimen holder is moved toward the rotating drive plate. The grinding wheel is mountable to the plate in a single radial orientation only. A dressing system is operably connected to a controller to monitor the current of the drive plate motor and/or the and the head first drive actuates the dressing system based upon the current drawn by the drive plate motor and/or the head first drive motor falling below a predetermined value.
Grinding wheel assembly with a coolant passage system
A grinding wheel assembly has a tool holder, a mounting shaft connected to the tool holder, and a grinding wheel mounted on the mounting shaft. The tool holder has a first coolant passage defined through the tool holder. The mounting shaft has a second coolant passage communicating with the first coolant passage. The grinding wheel has multiple third coolant passages defined through the grinding wheel and communicating with the second coolant passage. The first coolant passage, the second coolant passage, and the multiple third coolant passages are utilized for a coolant to flow through. Thereby, the grinding wheel and a workpiece can be cooled down without setting up any pipeline and nozzle for the coolant in a grinding machine.
