Method of performing a cleaning operation using a water jet device
A system and method for cleaning of heat exchanger tubes including an assembly, an indexer, and a communication device provided with specialized software and programming. The indexer includes orthogonally arranged first and second arms. A trolley and sensors are provided on the indexer arms. One or more lances are provided on the trolley to deliver water jets into the openings. Sensors measure displacement as the trolley is moved relative to the heat exchanger's face plate. An operator controls the system from a distance away using the communication device. During setup, the pattern of the face plate is learned and mapped utilizing information from the sensors as one of the inputs. This information is utilized to help navigate the face plate during a subsequent cleaning operation. A kit for retrofitting existing X-Y indexers is also disclosed.
Wet blasting machines
A wet blast machine for cleaning or preparing surfaces comprises: a treatment source for providing a pressurised mixture of treatment material; a nozzle, the nozzle comprising: an inlet for receiving the pressurised mixture of treatment material; an outlet for ejecting the pressurised mixture; and at least one hole in a wall of the nozzle, the hole for feeding one or more products into the nozzle such that one or more surfaces of the product are exposed to the treatment material whilst within the nozzle, allowing for a more efficient wet blast of the products.

Methods for cleaning flow path components of power systems and sump purge kits
Methods of cleaning flow path components of power systems, and sump purge kits used in the same or related methods are disclosed. A method of cleaning may include removing a casing of the turbine system to expose a rotor of the turbine system, a plurality of flow path components coupled to the rotor and/or the casing, and a sump system in communication with the rotor. The method may also include pressurizing the sump system in communication with the rotor, and sealing a plurality of openings formed in the rotor. Additionally, the method may include exposing the rotor and the plurality of flow path components to steam to dry hydrocarbons formed on a surface of the rotor and a surface of the plurality of flow path components, and blasting the rotor and the plurality of flow path components with solid carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2) to dislodge the dried hydrocarbons.
Method for treating a surface of a fibre composite component
A method for treating a surface of a fibre composite component, wherein an abrasive removal of the surface of the fibre composite component takes place by blasting a removing agent transported by a gaseous transporting fluid onto the surface of the fibre composite component by a feed nozzle and a suction extraction of the removing agent and material removed by the removing agent takes place by an extraction nozzle arranged in the region of the feed nozzle.

Spring leaf and method for producing a spring leaf
In a method for producing a spring leaf (2) for a leaf spring, in particular a parabolic spring or suspension spring, wherein the spring leaf (2) comprises two end regions, a central region, a top side which is subjected to tensile stress in the operative state, and a bottom side (1) which is subjected to pressure in the operative state, at least one hole (3) is introduced into the bottom side (1). The bottom side (1) is peened locally in the region around the hole (3).
DEVICE FOR REMOVING FOREIGN MATTER FROM ROLL SURFACE, METHOD FOR REMOVING FOREIGN MATTER FROM ROLL SURFACE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING STEEL STRIP
A device for removing foreign matter from a roll surface. The device includes a blast processing unit and a press unit. The blast processing unit includes an ejection unit configured to eject a projectile material at a surface of a roll that conveys a steel strip inside a heating furnace, and a recovery unit configured to recover the projectile material. The press unit is configured to press the blast processing unit toward the surface of the roll.
