Electric pulse tool

An electric power tool includes an electrical motor adapted to drive a rotating shaft. The electric motor is adapted to be fed with a pulsed current where the pulsed current includes a main current pulse (A) in a first direction driving the rotating shaft in a first direction and adapted to provide a current (C) in an opposite direction following the main current pulse to retract the electrical power tool. The pulsed current prior to the current (C) in the opposite direction includes a first pre-pulse current pulse (B) in the same direction as the current in the opposite direction and of a magnitude lower than the current (C). The pulsed current prior to the main pulse includes a second pre-pulse current pulse (D) which is in the same direction as the main current pulse and of a magnitude lower than the main current pulse.

A torque transfer assembly for a bit holder includes an axial movement limiting subassembly and a rotation limiting subassembly. The axial movement limiting subassembly is configured to retain a drive body of the bit holder in proximity to a driven body of the bit holder. The rotation limiting subassembly is configured to cause torque applied to the drive body to be transferred to the driven body. The rotation limiting subassembly includes a first cam body at a distal end of the drive body and a second cam body at a distal end of the driven body. The first and second cam bodies are configured to transfer a majority of the torque between the drive body and the driven body indirectly via the torque transfer assembly by limiting rotation of the first cam body relative to the second cam body.

Systems, methods and apparatus for automated vehicle wheel removal and replacement are provided. One system includes a computer system with applications for scheduling the replacement of tires for the vehicle. An electronically controlled lift device and robotic apparatus is configured for interaction with the computer system. The lift device mechanically adjusts arms for placement on lift points of vehicles. The robotic apparatus detects positioning of lug nut configuration for a wheel, removes lug nuts, and then removes the wheel from the wheel hub with gripping arms. The wheel and tire are then handed off to a separate tire changing machine. When a new tire is replaced the robotic apparatus then mounts the wheel to the original wheel hub, and then secures the lug nuts to the lug nut bolts.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INDICATING TORQUE

The present invention relates to torque application tools, such as a torque screwdriver and ratchet tools, with one or more light indicators disposed in a ring shape around the tool. The light indicators are adapted to indicate amounts of torque values and/or angle values as the tool is used to tighten or install a work piece. For example, the light indicators may flash at a first flashing rate, when about 40% of a target torque or angle value is applied; flash at a second flashing rate (greater or faster than the first flashing rate) when about 60% of the target torque or angle value is applied; and illuminate at a solid state when about 80% of the target torque or angle value is applied.

The disclosure also relates to a handheld power tool, in particular an impact driver, comprising an electric motor and a control unit, wherein the control unit is designed to carry out a method according to the disclosure.

Setting method for setting expansion anchors by means of an impact wrench

A control method of an impact wrench for setting an expansion anchor carries out a first sequence in response to a button being pressed. In a first phase, a rotary impact is repeatedly exerted on a screw element of the expansion anchor and a torque transmitted from the rotary impact to the screw head is estimated. The first phase S1 is continued until the estimated transmitted torque exceeds a threshold value specified for the expansion anchor. In a second phase, a number of rotary impacts specified for the expansion anchor are exerted on the screw head. If the button is released before the end of the first sequence, a premature release of the button and the phase in which the button was released is stored in a memory. In response to the button being pressed when a premature release is stored in the memory, a second sequence is carried which depends on the phase in which the button was previously released.
