PULLER, CLAW, AND USAGE METHOD OF PULLER
A puller includes a first claw and a second claw arranged opposite to each other. The first claw includes a first pulling part, a first limiting part and a first connecting part. The first limiting part includes a first body part, a first notch part and a second notch part. The second claw includes a second pulling part, a second limiting part and a second connecting part. The second limiting part includes a second body part, a third notch part and a fourth notch part. A size of the second pulling part is smaller than or equal to a size of the second notch part.
Systems and methods for preloading a bearing and aligning a lock nut
A system for use in providing a load on a bearing mounted to a shaft includes a preload apparatus having a first extension and a second extension engageable with an inner race of the bearing and configured to provide a compressive load to the bearing. The first extension has a first projection and the second extension has a second projection. A stop ring is configured to limit a radially inward movement of the first extension and the second extension toward each other to position the first projection and the second projection relative to the bearing.
Sleeve-component extracting jig
A sleeve-component extracting jig according to the present invention is configured to include an engagement part on which a thread engageable with an inner circumferential surface of a sleeve component is formed, wherein a taper surface configured by cutting off crests of the thread to lower a height of the thread toward a leading end of the engagement part, and a plurality of clearance grooves open at the leading end of the engagement part and arranged at equal angular intervals in a circumferential direction of the engagement part are formed in the engagement part, a length of a radius of the engagement part at an end position of the taper surface is a sum of a length obtained by multiplying a thickness of the sleeve component by a digging ratio (20%˜60%) and a length of an inside radius of the inner circumferential surface of the sleeve component.
Method and assembly for extracting press fit bushings
An assembly for removing a bushing is provided including a mandrel having a size and shape similar to the bushing and a receiver having a hollow interior cavity. A fastener extends through an opening formed in both the mandrel and the receiver. A socket attachment has a first opening configured to removably couple to a first end of the fastener and a second opening configured to removably couple to a torque delivery tool. A biasing mechanism arranged adjacent a second end of the fastener is configured to generate a biasing force to drive the mandrel against a bushing in response to a coupling of the socket attachment and the fastener.
Puller spacer
A puller spacer has a cylindrical and elongated body. The puller spacer has a slot formed in a side of the body. The slot extends from a center bore of the puller spacer to an exterior of the puller spacer. Wires that extend out of a steering column are routed through a bottom of the puller spacer and into a center bore of the puller spacer, with an end of each of the wires extending out of the slot formed in a side of the puller spacer. The puller spacer is positioned between a distal end of a center threaded member of a steering wheel puller and the top of the steering column. The steering wheel puller engages the steering wheel and the center threaded member of the steering wheel puller is advanced to pull the steering wheel away from the steering column.
Joint press
A ball joint press for installation/removal of ball joints or bushings into/from suspension components of vehicles. In general, the press includes first and second frame portions, a spine/shaft coupling the first and second frame portions together, and actuators coupled to one of the first and second frame portions. The actuators are sized and spaced such that combined forces of the actuators minimize a bending moment (and bending stress) about the shaft. The actuators may also share a feed line that provides for equal pressure across both actuators. This reduces an axis of bending of the shaft, and causes the first and second frame portions to remain substantially parallel and the force in line with an axis of motion to install or remove the ball joint.
Assembly tool for changing bushings for lower arm
An assembly tool for changing bushings for a lower arm includes a bushing connecting part into which a bushing is inserted and a main shaft inserted into components. A main adapter assembling unit supports or presses the bushing and a detachment adapter receives the bushing when detaching the bushing. A mounting adapter supports a first end of the bushing when mounting the bushing and a mounting guide ring guides an insertion depth of the bushing when mounting the bushing so that components used to change the bushings may be assembled in accordance with a shape of a lower arm on which the bushing is to be mounted.
Reheat stop valve support yoke extraction device
A device to extract a support yoke from a reheat stop valve of a steam turbine is provided. The device includes a hydraulic cylinder for applying a pushing force to the support yoke, an attachment weldment for attaching the hydraulic cylinder to the reheat stop valve casing, and a conical cylinder coupled to the hydraulic cylinder and configured to evenly impart the pushing force to the support yoke from within the reheat stop valve in order to separate the reheat stop valve from the support yoke. A method to extract a support yoke from a reheat stop valve of a steam turbine is also provided.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING BALL JOINT WITH A THREADED DOMED COVER PLATE
A method of manufacturing a vehicle suspension component includes inserting a cover body into an aperture of a housing, the cover body being disposed about a central axis concentric with the aperture of the housing, the cover body having a convex side and a concave side and an outer perimeter disposed about the central axis, the cover body defining a threaded bore concentric with the central axis, and deforming the cover body into retaining engagement with the housing by pressing against the convex side until the cover body is at least partial deformed and the outer perimeter is expanded compared to a pre-deformed state of the cover body.
