The bushing installation tool has a first stage in which the first base being releasably engage with the second ends of the spacer rods. A second base including portions configured to engage the end of the cylindrical bushing and to permit radial expansion of the cylindrical bushing engaged therewith. The second base also including portions configured to releasably engage the second ends of the spacer rods and being alternatively interchangeable with the first base. The bushing installation tool includes a second stage in which the second base is releasably engaged with the second ends of the spacer rods.

Hub and rotor separator and method

Methods and devices and clamps for separating a hub from a rotor of a rotor/hub assembly, including a platform having a top portion to receive the rotor and an opening to allow a pusher from a jack or press to pass through the opening, and a set of clamps configured to hold the rotor in a fixed position with respect to the platform while the pusher pushes through the opening to contact the hub to separate the hub from the rotor. The clamps are generally C-shaped and devoid of moving parts and slip inwardly upon the platform to hold the rotor while the pusher pushes upward to release the hub from the rotor, and the clamps have a slot to allow the clamps to rotate and store out of position in a non-use mode.

Portable press and method of using same

A portable press is usable with parts that are assembled by interference fit or friction fit. A force application member slidably engages a plurality of guides. An actuator, such as a pneumatic or hydraulic jack or cylinder, applies force to the force application member to move the force application member toward a static plate. The force application member acts to either press in, or press out, a first part relative to a second part. The press of the invention is portable, so that the press can be moved to the mechanical structure requiring a press for removal or insertion of parts. The press may be constructed in a vertical or horizontal embodiment.

Reheat stop valve support yoke extraction device

In a first aspect there is disclosed a load coupling (10). The load coupling (10) comprises a first coupling member (12) operatively associated with an actuator. The first coupling member has a first coupling formation (16). The load coupling (10) further comprises a second coupling member (14) adapted for operative coupling with the first coupling member (12). The second coupling member (14) includes an attachment formation (15) operatively adapted to attach the second coupling member (14) to a target component to which force generated by the actuator is to be transferred. The second coupling member (14) defines a second coupling formation (24) operatively associated with the first coupling formation (16) of the first coupling member (12). The first coupling formation (16) has (i) a secure orientation relative to the second coupling formation (24) in which the first coupling member (12) is secured to the second coupling member (14) and (ii) a release orientation relative to the second coupling formation (24) in which the first coupling member (12) is adapted to be removed from the second coupling member (14).

TOOL ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR REMOVING A COMPONENT MOUNTED TO A CARRIER
