Also included is a part forming a removable prestressing element for the clip with housing sites engaging the two free sections in a first resting configuration, and in at least a second prestressed configuration in which the arms are more separated than in the resting configuration but less than during the passage of the maximum outer section of the male end piece.

The balls are normally pushed outward by an engagement portion. Depressing a push button head axially downward causes the balls to align with a receiving portion, which allows the balls to descend into the interior of the mechanism. The push button release mechanism is also threadably coupled with a threaded opening of one of the portions. The threaded opening can have deformed threads to increase the retention torque required to rotate the push button release mechanism.

The stopper ring has one notch and a recess formed on its inner circumference near each of its two ends of the stopper ring. A contour of each recess has a circular arc portion and a flat portion. The circular arc portion has a predetermined radius of curvature. The flat portion tangentially extends from the circular arc portion. A width of the opening of the recess is smaller than a diameter of the circular arc portion.

At least a portion of the plunger element can be retainably engaged in base element. The plunger element can be movable within the base element between a retracted position and an extended position. In the extended position, a portion of the plunger element can extend into the clip receiving cavity.

The tool receives a stack of conventional disposal components on the tool top end, so the user with one hand can raise the tool and the stack to the tailpiece, and the fingers and thumb of the one hand can push the expanded snap-ring upward to reach and snap into the groove. The expansion mechanism may be a tapered tool bottom end, an expander tab, and/or an adaptation wherein the tool is reduced in diameter to fit inside a relaxed snap-ring and then increased in diameter to expand the snap-ring.
