SPRING COMPRESSOR AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A spring compressor including a first mating arm in configured to mate with a subframe component of a vehicle, a second mating arm configured to mate with a moveable suspension component of the vehicle, wherein the suspension arm carries a suspension spring, and an actuator configured move the second mating arm toward the first mating arm to compress the suspension spring, so as to facilitate installation of a part, such as a damper. The disclosure also provides a method of joining a damper or similar part with a suspension component, such as a suspension arm, and with a body portion of the vehicle, including mating the first mating arm with the subframe component, mating the second mating arm with the suspension component, actuating the actuator to move the second mating arm toward the first mating arm so as to move the suspension arm, and securing the damper to the vehicle.
SPRING DECOMPRESSION DEVICE AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A clamping device including an elongate backbone, a first clamp end slidably engaged with the elongate backbone, a second clamp end slidably engaged with the elongate backbone, and a handle operatively engaged with the first clamp end, wherein upon actuation of the handle the first clamp end is urged toward the second clamp end decreasing the distance between the first clamp end and the second clamp end. The clamping device configured to operate with automotive suspension springs, spring slider, and shocks such that upon use of the clamping device spring pressure is unloaded from a vehicle, spring slider, and/or shock and is transferred to the clamping device such that suspension adjustments and/or spring replacement can be effectuated quickly and safely.
NEGATOR SPRING TOOL AND METHOD
A negator spring tool for winding a negator spring output drum around a rotational axis includes: a pair of tool handles; and a tool disk having an outer edge which is generally circular except for a cutout. The tool disk is configured to be releasably attached to the output drum. The tool disk has a drum-facing side which includes protruding teeth protruding from the drum-facing side to engage radial spokes of the output drum. The outer edge of the tool disk includes handle slots which are spaced circumferentially. The distal end of each tool handle is insertable into a handle slot to rotate the tool disk around the rotational axis. The protruding teeth of the tool disk each having a T-shaped cross section, each T-shaped protruding tooth and the drum-facing side forming an I-shaped cross section having two opposite facing cavities on two opposite sides of the I-shaped cross section.

Tool for removal of spring clip from a nut plate assembly and associated method
A tool for removal of a spring clip from a nut plate assembly includes an inner sleeve having a first cleat configured to engage a first end of a spring clip and an outer sleeve having a second cleat configured to engage a second end of the spring clip, the outer sleeve being rotatably disposed around a portion of the inner sleeve. The tool includes first and second grip tabs respectively extending radially from a longitudinally extending central axis of the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve. Movement of the first grip tab and the second grip tab towards each other rotates the inner sleeve relative to the outer sleeve, and causes the first cleat and the second cleat to rotate towards each other to engage the first and second ends of the spring clip and to enable the spring clip to be removed from an assembled nut plate.

Spring winding apparatus and method of use
A tool assembly designed to couple to a torsion spring and torsion rod to wind and unwind the torsion spring on the torsion rod. The tool assembly includes a variety of components in mechanical communication with one other to rotate the torsion spring. Specifically, the assembly includes a worm gear in mechanical communication with a ring gear and a set of brackets securable to a torsion spring. Between the ring gear and the brackets are a series of plates arranged and assembled on a base, providing a singular device within the assembly that a user can grip to manipulate a torsion spring in a safer manner than possible in the prior art. A drill or other device can couple to attachment points in mechanical communication with the worm gear to rotate the worm gear at a greater rate, thereby reducing the winding and unwinding time of the torsion spring.
