APPARATUS AND/OR METHOD FOR INSTALLING AND/OR REPLACING VEHICLE COIL SPRING
In certain example embodiments, a vehicle coil clamping kit is provided. A device includes a plate, and tubing and a hoisting mechanism are located on opposing sides thereof. A cable connects to the hoisting mechanism and runs through the tubing. The cable moves responsive to the hoisting mechanism. A support connects to the device and a frame of a vehicle that a coil is to be installed into or removed from. A hook connects to the cable. The tubing is insertable into, and the cable is feedable through, the frame, when the device is connected to the frame via the support. The hook is configured to controllably raise the lower portion of the frame and deform the spring when the spring is being installed, and to permit the lower portion of the frame to be controllably lowered and release tension on the spring when the spring is being removed.
SERPENTINE BELT TENSIONER COMPRESSOR TOOL
A spring compressor tool is provided. A tool for compressing an inline spring-loaded serpentine belt tensioner used in motive power systems, comprising a frame affixed with a fastening pin, the fastening pin optionally inserted into a hollow axle of the inline spring-loaded serpentine belt tensioner. A threaded stud affixed to an end of the frame, the threaded stud optionally coupled to a yoke providing lateral movement of the yoke along the threaded stud. A threaded fastener optionally coupled to the threaded stud and the yoke restricting movement of the yoke, the yoke optionally coupled to an end of the inline spring-loaded serpentine belt tensioner opposite the fastening pin. A lip attached to the yoke, the lip grasping the end of the inline spring-loaded serpentine belt tensioner, movement of the yoke along the threaded stud controls extension and contraction of the inline spring-loaded serpentine belt tensioner.
Slide Spring Tool
Vehicle transmissions have many complex parts including various springs with various purposes. A rebuilder using crude tools, or the installer's fingers may struggle with the installation. Further, the rebuilder could potentially be injured or cause damage if the spring is improperly released from a state of compression. Mechanical tools can simplify the installation process. But the availability and applicability of existing tools do not always fit the shape of the required installation. This application discloses a unique transmission spring compressor tool (slide spring tool), which allows a rebuilder to install transmission springs into a transmission. The slide spring tool includes two independent pieces: a body with a receiver configured to accept a plunger and a plunger assembly. The slide spring tool is adapted to compress a slide spring, receive the slide spring in the spring gap, and place the slide spring into a slide slot on an oil pump assembly.
ASSEMBLY METHOD AND ASSEMBLY DEVICE FOR SUSPENSION DEVICE OF VEHICLE AND MIXED MODEL PRODUCTION LINE
A coil spring is interposed between a vehicle body and a suspension member which is elastically and swingably supported by the vehicle body and supports a wheel. The suspension member and a vehicle part attached to the vehicle body are connected by a fastening member. The orientation of the suspension member with respect to the vehicle body is forcibly changed so as to increase the distance between the vehicle body and the suspension member at a coil spring interposition portion. An excessive change in the orientation of the suspension member is restricted by the fastening member, and a coil spring is inserted between the vehicle body and the suspension member.
Apparatus and/or method for installing and/or replacing vehicle coil spring

A cable connects to the hoisting mechanism and runs through the tubing. The cable moves responsive to the hoisting mechanism.
Vehicle suspension spring spreader
A tool for spreading a vehicle suspension spring, the tool incorporating a base having upper and lower ends; upper and lower arms, each such arm having a proximal end and a distal end, the upper arm's proximal end being pivotally attached to the base's upper end and the lower arm's proximal end being pivotally attached to the base's lower end, and each arm's distal end being adapted for engaging the spring; a screw mounted rotatably upon the base, the screw extending distally between the upper and lower arms; and a nut threadedly mounted upon the screw, the nut having upper and lower ends adapted for slidably engaging the upper and lower arms, the nut being kinetically spinnable for longitudinally repositioning between the upper and lower arms.
Negator spring tool and method
A negator spring tool for winding a negator spring output drum around a rotational axis includes: a pair of tool handles; and a tool disk having an outer edge which is generally circular except for a cutout. The tool disk is configured to be releasably attached to the output drum. The tool disk has a drum-facing side which includes protruding teeth protruding from the drum-facing side to engage radial spokes of the output drum. The outer edge of the tool disk includes handle slots which are spaced circumferentially. The distal end of each tool handle is insertable into a handle slot to rotate the tool disk around the rotational axis. The protruding teeth of the tool disk each having a T-shaped cross section, each T-shaped protruding tooth and the drum-facing side forming an I-shaped cross section having two opposite facing cavities on two opposite sides of the I-shaped cross section.
