STRIKING TOOL WITH ATTACHED STRIKING SURFACE
An example hammer disclosed herein includes a handle. The hammer also includes a head comprising a neck. The neck has a tapered receiving surface and an end face. The hammer further includes a cap comprising a tapered mounting surface. The mounting surface is surrounding and engaging the receiving surface to permanently affix the cap to the neck. A first circumference of engagement at a first end of a length of engagement between the mounting surface and the receiving surface is greater than a second circumference of engagement at a second end of the length of engagement. The first end is farther from the end face of the neck than the second end.

ADJUSTABLE WEIGHT DEAD BLOW HAMMER
The present invention is an adjustable weight dead blow hammer comprising a hollow head filled with an acceptable fill material. A handle is connected to the head wherein the handle has a hollow chamber that traversers the length of the handle and has an opening into the head. The weight of the hammer head may be adjusted by moving the fill material between the head and the hollow chamber in the handle. Adjustment may be accomplished by a corkscrew device which is disposed within the hollow chamber and having a screw tip at the opening and c screw head on an outside portion of a bottom end of the handle. The corkscrew device within the hollow chamber moves the fill material between the head and the handle. More fill material in the head increases the force of impact, and less fill material in the head decreases the force of impact.
Vibration reduction mechanism for a striking tool
Various embodiments relate to a vibration reduction mechanism for a hand operated striking tool. The vibration reduction mechanism includes a collar coupled to a portion of a handle of the hand-operated striking tool; at least one sleeve interposed over the collar; and at least one pin interconnecting the collar to the handle, wherein the at least one pin retains a position of the collar near a first end of the handle.

Dead blow hammer head
A hammer head with an internal cavity including weights that are sized to restrict the weights from escaping from a crack in the hammer or are easily collected and accounted for should the hammer separate to ensure foreign objects and debris do not contaminate sensitive work spaces. The weights are shaped to allow the weights to longitudinally move in the internal cavity. The weights may take the form of a number of different shapes.

Aluminum striking tools
Striking tools are disclosed that include an aluminum head. Striking surfaces may be securely attached to the head by a bushing or other means. In this way, light weight striking tools may be made with greater durability.
