Various embodiments for connecting interchangeable handles to hand tools are shown. Additionally, a fluid reservoir disposed within an interchangeable handle and locking mechanisms for keeping the interchangeable handles attached to the hand tool are disclosed.

The adaptor includes a tool body, a socket attachment body, and a main channel. The drive head and the main shaft are adjacently connected to each other. The external thread is laterally connected around the main shaft. The stop is radially connected around the main shaft, opposite of the drive head. The tool body and the socket attachment body are adjacently connected to each other. The main channel concentrically traverses through the tool body and the socket attachment body. The internal thread is laterally connected within the main channel. The main shaft is threadedly engaged with the main channel through the external thread and the internal thread.

Embodiments are described for a simple convertible utility knife and scraper includes a handle, slide mechanism, and flat spring with a centrally mounted utility blade. The flat spring locks into precut positions in the handle to secure the blade in the desired position, whether in a cutting position or a scraping position. The blade can be partially extended to expose the front of the blade in the cutting position. When the slide is fully extended, the blade can rotate about a central axis to a position perpendicular to the handle and then be retracted into slots at the end of the handle to secure and support the blade in the scraper position.

A Shipboard Multi-tool. The Multi-tool includes a pair of groups of tools that are individually-extendable from the handle in order to allow the Multi-tool to operate a plurality of different shipboard mechanisms with a single assembly. One group of extendable tools includes spanner and box wrenches. Another group of extendable tools includes key-type wrenches. The individual extendable wrenches are lockable in a variety of angular positions relative to the handle to provide the user with several configurations with which to use the wrenches. The locking mechanisms are operable by depressing a spring-loaded push-button.
