Method and apparatus for inserting washers in a molded part
An automated insertion system for inserting or combining one or more fastener components with a molded part. The automated insertion system can handle multiple fastener components repeatedly, and do so faster and more safely than current processes.
MACHINING METHOD AND MACHINING SYSTEM
A machining system having plural machining devices installed at plural points in a robot arm. the machining system carrying out machining to a processed object made of metal be by using these machining devices, the machining system further having a control device that controls drive of the machining devices so as to offset processing reaction forces by at least one of a thrust force and a torque to be obtained when the machining devices carry out machining to the processed object simultaneously between the machining devices.
HAND DEVICE AND WORKPIECE HANDLING SYSTEM
A hand device is attached to a robot arm, grips a workpiece extending helically around a helical axis, and includes a base attached to the robot arm and a gripping part that is supported by the base in a rotatable manner around a predetermined rotation axis and that grips the workpiece. The gripping part grips the workpiece on the predetermined rotation axis such that the helical axis of the workpiece substantially extends along the predetermined rotation axis, and rotates in a helical direction of the workpiece in accordance with an external force acting on the workpiece in a tangential direction around the predetermined rotation axis.

HOLDING DEVICE, ROBOT, AND ROBOT SYSTEM
A holding device according to the present invention is a holding device that holds a workpiece having flexibility. A controller sets the workpiece to a reference state in such a manner that with first and second holding mechanisms holding the workpiece, a moving mechanism moves at least one of the first and second holding mechanisms in a length direction based on a length, detected by a detector, of the workpiece in a held state and a length, prestored in a storage, of the workpiece in a reference state.
Robotic alignment method for workpiece measuring systems
Embodiments provide measurement systems having a coordinate measuring machine, a workpiece storage apparatus, and a robot for delivering workpieces from the workpiece storage apparatus to the coordinate measuring machine, and methods for orienting and operating such systems. Illustrative embodiments employ a reference geometry tool on the robotic arm, and kinematic locators on the coordinate measuring machine and/or on the workpiece storage apparatus to define a coordinate system common to the coordinate measuring machine, the workpiece storage apparatus, and the robot.
Robotic platform manipulating peripeheral nerve system
A robotic platform manipulating peripheral nerve system includes a manipulator and a recorder. The manipulator includes a rotating guide, a plurality of rotating movers and a plurality of manipulating units. The rotating guide has an opening portion through which the recorder records, and has a guide rail at a side. The rotating movers are combined with the rotating guide and move along the guide rail. The manipulating units are respectively fixed to the rotating movers, and a manipulating part performs the operation being connected to an end of each of the manipulating units.
AUTOMATED PRODUCTION WORK CELL
A robotic work cell uses an object separating mechanism to disperse bulk objects into a 2D arrangement on a horizontal surface and uses a vision system to generate pick-up (positional) data and rotational orientation data for each sequentially selected target object of the 2D arrangement. A pick-and-place robot mechanism uses the positional data to pick-up each target object and uses the rotational orientation data to reorientate the target object during transfer to a designated hand-off location. A carousel-type robotic end-tool disposed on a 4-axis object-processing robot mechanism rotates a gripper mechanism around a vertical axis to move the target object from the hand-off location to a designated processing location, where an associated processing device performs a desired process (e.g., label application) on the target object. In one embodiment the gripper mechanism is selectively rotatable around a horizontal axis to facilitate processing on opposing surfaces of the target object.
Automated storage system
An automated storage system for receiving, storing, and dispensing items is herein proposed. The system has an enclosure, which defines a storage volume, and a port which selectively connects the storage volume to the ambient space for deposit and retrieval of items. The system also includes a plurality of containers for containing at least one item being stored as well as a support structure for supporting the plurality of containers in the storage volume. The containers feature a base, an envelope extending from the base, and an opening opposing the base and providing access to an inner volume defined by the base and envelope for containing at least one item. The system includes a manipulator for transporting the containers between an access position at the port and a storage position at the support structure. Finally, the system includes a one-sided attachment interface between the container and the support structure for removably attach the container to the support structure in the storage position, in which the opening of the container is above the base.
Apparatus for transporting a rotor
Provided is an apparatus capable of transporting a rotor from a first location to a second location, including: a holding device for engaging with a portion of the rotor at the first location so as to hold the rotor relative to the apparatus; a position determination device for determining the position of at least one component part of the rotor relative to another component part of the rotor or another body; a positioning device for positioning or repositioning said at least one component part of the rotor relative to another component part of the rotor or another body; and a movement device for moving the rotor from the first location to the second location. Also described is a method of loading a rotor into a balancing machine.
