The robot hand includes a fixed holding portion which holds the harness main body a vicinity of the end thereof, a pressing portion movable relative to the fixed holding portion in a longitudinal direction of the harness main body held by the fixed holding portion, and a driving unit which moves the pressing portion in a direction away from the fixed holding portion such that the pressing portion presses the connector outwardly in the longitudinal direction of the harness main body.

Food-grade robotic gripper for automated production work cell

An automated food production work cell includes a robotic system that utilizes a food-grade robotic gripper to transfer individual food items. The robotic gripper is constructed using food-grade materials and includes finger structures that are linearly movably connected by linear bearings to parallel guide rods and are independently driven by a non-contact actuating system to grasp targeted food items disposed on a first work surface, to hold the targeted food items while the robotic system moves the gripper to a second work surface, and to release the targeted food items onto the second work surface. Encoding and external sensing systems facilitate fully automated food transfer processes. Optional sensor arrays are disposed on tip portions of the finger structures to provide feedback data (e.g., grasping force/pressure). Two or more pairs of independently controlled finger structures are provided to facilitate the transfer of multiple food items during each transfer process.

Substrate transfer device

The present application relates to a substrate transfer device, comprising a horizontally arranged cross beam, and support beams longitudinally arranged at two ends of the cross beam, wherein a substrate carrier is suspended on the cross beam, the substrate carrier is located between the two support beams, and the substrate carrier is parallel to a plane where the two support beams are located, the substrate carrier comprises two side walls oppositely arranged in a horizontal direction, and each of the support beams is provided with an auxiliary clamping structure for clamping the substrate carrier during transferring of the substrate carrier.

A hand device is attached to a robot arm, grips a workpiece extending helically around a helical axis, and includes a base attached to the robot arm and a gripping part that is supported by the base in a rotatable manner around a predetermined rotation axis and that grips the workpiece. The gripping part grips the workpiece on the predetermined rotation axis such that the helical axis of the workpiece substantially extends along the predetermined rotation axis, and rotates in a helical direction of the workpiece in accordance with an external force acting on the workpiece in a tangential direction around the predetermined rotation axis.

COMPONENT SYSTEMS FOR AUTOMATED COOKING

Various example systems and component systems for an automated food processing system are provided. In an example, a food processing apparatus comprises a basket retainer configured to support a basket of consumable items above a food processing device. The food processing apparatus may also include a reciprocating agitator configured to impart a repetitive contact to the basket, thereby inducing motion of the consumable items within the basket. In another example, guidance of a robot performing tasks such as moving a basket of consumable or food items may be enhanced using one or more mechanical guides configured to catch, engage, or otherwise contact a corresponding feature of a basket for the consumable/food items. In another example, one or more sensors may be provided to provide an indication that a robot gripper is within a proximity of a basket and/or handle thereof.

Device for automated crop root sampling

This invention comprises a device for measuring root pulling force (RPF) in a plant. The RPF device comprises a plant grasping mechanism, as well as a force measurement sensor. In certain embodiments, the device is automatic, so that the “hand of man” is not required to exert force on the plant while the root pulling force of the plant is being measured. Also disclosed is a root pulling force motion mechanism, which brings the RPF device into proximity of a plant to be measured. Further disclosed is a method for measuring root pulling force of a plant.
