Cutting mechanism
A cutting mechanism for a hair cutting apparatus, such as a shaving apparatus, includes an outer cutting member having hair-entry openings and an inner cutting member having cutting elements each having a first cutting edge. The inner cutting member is moveable with respect to the outer cutting member so as to perform a cutting operation within a cutting region of the cutting mechanism. Adjacent hair-entry openings are separated by a dividing element having a cutting section that lies within the cutting region and a non-cutting section that is outside the cutting region. The non-cutting section includes an inner wall facing the inner cutting member and a side wall which is substantially perpendicular to the inner wall. A single chamfer is provided between the inner wall of the non-cutting region and the side wall of the non-cutting region.
Amorphous metal strip and method for producing an amorphous metal strip
A method for the production of a metal strip is provided. The method includes providing an amorphous metal strip having a first main surface and a second, opposing main surface. The first and/or the second main surface are treated with a wet-chemical etching process and/or a photochemical etching process.
ELECTRIC SHAVER AND OUTER BLADE USED IN THE ELECTRIC SHAVER
An outer blade of an electric shaver has slits. Each of the slits includes: a first slit portion; a second slit portion positioned in a displaced manner from the first slit portion in a length direction of the outer blade; and a connecting slit portion connecting the first slit portion to the second slit portion. A displacement width in the length direction of the outer blade between the first slit portion and the second slit portion is set equal to or larger than at least one of widths of connecting portions of the first slit portion and the second slit portion connected to the connecting slit portion.
METHODS OF MANUFACTURING A HAIR TRIMMER ATTACHMENT
According to an aspect, there is provided a method of manufacturing a hair trimmer attachment for a hair trimmer, the hair trimmer attachment comprising a fixed blade comprising: a skin contacting part forming a surface of the hair trimmer attachment to be placed against the skin of a user, in use of the hair trimmer, and an angled part, the angled part being angled relative to the skin contacting part, wherein a plurality of hair openings are spaced apart along a bend between the skin contacting part and the angled part, portions of the fixed blade between the hair openings forming guard teeth of the fixed blade, the method comprising: providing a sheet of material for forming the fixed blade; deforming the sheet of material over a fixed blade support of the hair trimmer attachment to create the bend between the skin contacting part and the angled part of the fixed blade, the bend being curved or angled about an axis extending in a first direction; and forming a compound curved and/or angled portion on the guard teeth.
Trimmer
A device for trimming stems and the leafy plant structure projecting from a flower of a plant, for example a harvested flower of a marijuana plant. The device includes a blade head for supporting a pair of sheet blades, each sheet blade having a contact surface, the contact surface of the first sheet blade configured for reciprocating motion against the contact surface of the second. The first sheet blade and the second sheet blade are formed having numerous trimming apertures such that as the first sheet blade reciprocates against the second sheet blade, the plurality of first sheet blade trimming apertures and the plurality of second sheet aperture alternately, and at last partially, align and close creating a shearing action between the edges defining each of the plurality of first sheet blade trimming apertures and an edge defining each of the plurality of second sheet blade trimming apertures.
Blade, Shaver With A Blade And Method For Producing A Blade
An elongated outer blade for a slit cutter is disclosed. The outer blade extends along a first axis and comprises a number of slits and webs disposed between the slits. The webs have an upper surface, a lower surface and side surfaces extending between the upper and lower surfaces. At least some of the webs are provided with a concave clearance formed between a side surface and the lower surface forming an edge with the side surface. Further, a shaver having such an outer blade and a method for producing an outer blade using etching are disclosed.
Shaving apparatus, a cutting unit, and a shaving head
A shaving apparatus, shaving head and/or at least one cutting unit for shaving both short and long hairs. The shaving apparatus, shaving head and/or at least one cutting unit includes an external cutting member and an internal cutting member movably arranged with respect to the external cutting member. A driver may be provided for moving the internal cutting member. The external cutting member is provided with a shaving section having two mutually connected lateral borders forming hair entry apertures. The internal cutting member is provided with cutting elements having cutting edges for cooperation with cutting edges of the external cutting member. A number of the hair entry apertures are formed by two substantially flat lamellae of the external cutting member which have free ends positioned between the borders of the shaving section.
Shaving assembly and hair cutting appliance
To solve discomfort and safety issues caused by sharp glide sides, a shaving assembly and a hair cutting appliance including the shaving assembly with a protection element is provided. The shaving assembly comprising a supporting member; a cutting element extending in the first direction; a guard foil stretched and extending in the first direction and surrounding the cutting element, the guard foil including a bent part and a flat contact surface, wherein the bent part extends in the first direction for fixing the guard foil on the supporting member, and the flat contact surface is adapted to be in contact with skin; and a protection element arranged at at least one end of the guard foil and including a curved surface exposed to the skin.
Shaving and grooming apparatus
A shaving and grooming apparatus includes a handle and a cartridge attached to the handle. A plurality of upper blades are positioned in the cartridge, where at least some of the plurality of upper blades include curved tips with a curvature that sufficient to prevent the curved tips from contact a cutting surface during use. A plurality of lower blades is positioned adjacent to the plurality of upper blades in the cartridge, where at least some of the plurality of lower blades comprises curved tips with a curvature that sufficient to prevent the curved tips from contact a cutting surface during cutting. At least one of the plurality of upper and the plurality of lower blades has a thickness and flexibility that results in deflection during cutting that increases effectiveness of cutting action. A drive motor moves the plurality of upper blades relative to the plurality of lower blades.
