The connecting member is connected to the body block such that the connecting member is movable relative to the body block in an intersecting direction which intersects with an extending direction of the shaft portion, and the connecting member is also connected to the head portion by way of the shaft portion. The connecting member is connected to the body block by way of a resilient member. With such a configuration, it is possible to provide an electric shaver capable of suppressing the generation of abnormal sounds and vibrations while suppressing lowering of a swing performance.

The sealing material includes a contact portion contacting the movable element; and a recessed portion formed around contact portion, having a ring-shaped groove facing the outside of the motor case, and elastically deformable according to reciprocating movement of the movable element. This aspect provides an electromotive unit that hardly generates noise while the movable element is being reciprocatingly driven; and a small-size electrical appliance including the electromotive unit.
