An absorbent article processing device includes a cutter roll and an anvil roll. The cutter roll includes a roll main body; a blade protruding in a radial direction in a first angular range of a part of a circumferential direction of the roll main body; a first bearer protruding in the radial direction in a second angular range of a part of the circumferential direction including at least the first angular range and being in contact with the anvil roll, and being cut out in an angular range excluding the second angular range at a first end portion in an axial direction of the roll main body; and a second bearer provided around the entire circumference or a part of the circumferential direction and being in contact with the anvil roll at the second end portion in an axial direction of the roll main body.

An orbital knife including a support structure; a yoke rotatably attached to the support structure having a yoke hub and a plurality of yoke arms; one or more rotatable knife rolls connected to at least two of the plurality of yoke arms; one or more blades attached to each of the one or more knife rolls; one or more sun gears rotatably attached to the support structure; an anvil roll rotatably attached to the support structure; one or more idler gears wherein each such idler gear is mated with one of the one or more sun gears; and one or more planet gears wherein each knife roll has rotatably attached thereto at least one planet gear and each planet gear is mated with one of the one or more idler gears, with the sun gear driving the idler gear which in turn drives the planet gear.
ADJUSTABLE CUTTING AND CREASING HEADS FOR CREATING ANGLED CUTS AND CREASES
A converting machine is used to convert sheet material into packaging templates for assembly into boxes or other packaging. The converting machine includes a converting assembly that performs a transverse conversion function, a longitudinal conversion function, and an angled conversion function on the sheet material to create the packaging templates. The converting machine includes a tool head with a converting instrument. The orientation of the converting instrument is adjustable to enable performance of the angled conversion function and at least one of the longitudinal conversion function and the transverse conversion function.
PERFORATOR LUBRICATION SYSTEM
Disclosed are apparatus, systems and methods of lubricating a knife which provides intermittently spaced cuts to a moving web, also referred to as perforations. In this manner, the apparatus, systems and methods are useful in both perforating a web and lubricating the knife used to form the perforations. the apparatus, systems and methods disclosed herein improve knife life, perforation quality and web handling.

The present invention relates to a method for positioning a plurality of tool heads in a converting machine for converting sheet material into box templates, comprising: providing a plurality of tool heads located at a first set of individual positions within a converting area, moving the plurality of tool heads within the converting area in a first movement by means of a transport mechanism that is arranged to be coupled individually to each tool head, moving at least one of the plurality of tool heads in relation to the transport mechanism in a second movement, wherein the plurality of tool heads are moved to a second set of individual positions by the first and second movement, and wherein the second movement takes place during the first movement. The invention also relates to a tool heads positioning device.

A device for manufacturing a chopped fiber bundle includes a cutter roll provided with one or more disk blades on a circumference of a roll core having a center axis coinciding with a rotation axis of the roll core and a nip roll provided in parallel with the rotation axis of the roll core, to feed a reinforcing fiber yarn to be continuously cut between the nip roll and the cutter roll, further including a rotary drive mechanism that rotates the cutter roll and at least one of: a reciprocating drive mechanism that reciprocates the cutter roll along the rotation axis of the roll core; and a traverse guide that traverses the reinforcing fiber yarn along the rotation axis of the roll core.
Corrugated board web cutting device and corrugated board manufacturing device
The present invention is provided with: one slitter device which forms cutting lines on a corrugated board web in a conveying direction and produces a plurality of slitted webs; a plurality of cutoff devices which cut the slitted webs in the width direction; a director device which separates the plurality of slitted webs cut by the slitter device and distributes same to the plurality of cutoff devices; and a separation cutting device which is disposed on the upstream side of the director device, and forms separation cutting lines, which are for separating the plurality of slitted webs with the director device, between the slitted webs of a new order and an old order, wherein the cutting operation is continued after the separation cutting device is stopped at the position of a separation cutting line of the new order.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CHOPPING FIBERS EMBEDDED WITHIN MATRIX RESIN
A system for forming composite flake. An apparatus includes a first shearing assembly that meshes with a second shearing assembly to shear a length of composite material into a plurality of strips wherein reinforcing fibers of the composite material extend along the length of the composite strips. A chopping station receives the plurality of strips from the first and second shearing assemblies and shears the plurality strips across the axis of the reinforcing fibers to chop each strip into a plurality of pieces.
LAMINATOR
A laminator applies a plastics film to an insulated glass unit 6. A conveyor system feeds the insulated glass unit through the laminator in a horizontal orientation and a reel 12 of plastics film is unwound. A perforator 22 having a circular cross section rotates around an axis transverse to a direction of travel of the unwound plastics film 8, and creates a longitudinal line of perforations in the film extending in the direction of travel and at a location outside an edge of the insulated glass unit 6. A laminating roller 2 presses the plastics film 8 against the insulated glass unit 6 to adhere the plastics film thereto, and a transverse cutter 30 creates a transverse line of perforations in the plastics film 8.
