CUTTING MACHINE
A cutting machine having a first wheel pair and an opposite second wheel pair, an first vertical wheel, an opposite second vertical wheel, a first drive wheel, a second opposite drive wheel, and a single cutting blade, the first vertical and the second vertical wheels being configured to travel simultaneously and in a same horizontal direction, the first and the second wheel pairs being configured to travel simultaneously and in a same vertical direction, the first wheel pair having a first slanted wheel and the second wheel pair having a second slanted wheel, the single cutting blade being routed over all wheels such that at any moment during a travel of the single cutting blade while driven by the first and second drive wheels, a vertical blade portion extends between and can travel horizontally with the first vertical wheel and the second vertical wheel during vertical cutting and a horizontal blade portion extends between and can travel vertically with the first and second wheel pairs during horizontal cutting, wherein the slant of the first slanted wheel and the slant of the second slanted wheel prevents intersection of the horizontal blade portion and the vertical blade portion.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A HARD-FOAM FILM
A method for producing a hard-foam film, for use as a core layer in sandwich composite elements, having an increased compressive strength along a thickness extension extending perpendicularly to its surface extension, from a foam block (3) of a thermoplastic, extruded, in particular partially crystalline and/or closed-cell, plastic rigid foam material, PET.
Chain-type cutting assembly
An assembly for cutting foam, nonwoven, rubber, and composite products has a guide having a longitudinally extending guide edge formed with a longitudinally extending and outwardly open groove. A longitudinally extending row of cutting elements extends along the guide edge, and element each has an entrainment dog projecting inward into the groove, a support riding on the guide edge and having sides each formed with a pair of longitudinally spaced and outwardly open recesses, a base outward of the support, and a wedge-section cutting tooth forming a cutting edge outside the base and having a pair of longitudinally extending flanks converging at the cutting edge. Coupling links extend between and have ends set in the recesses of adjacent cutting elements. Pivot pins extend through the ends of the links and through the supports at the bases. The base is of a maximum width greater than a width of the assembly at the pins.
IMPROVED HOTWIRE CUTTING MACHINE
A hot wire cutting machine. Hot wire cutting machine comprises a heated wire (101); springs (102 and 102a) and grooved rods (103, 104 and 401) supported on end bearings (402 and 403) and optional bearings (404) at middle of the rod (103, 104 and 401) wherein the rod (401) is coupled to a motor 504 for rotating the rod (401) in the direction of wire movement due to thermal effects and achieve minimum rubbing between wire and rod. The composite cutting wire comprises a first wire (1209) which is thicker, braided, high-strength, low electrical resistance joined with a second wire 1201 which is having high-electrical resistance (NiChrome) wherein the first wire (1209) and second wire (1201) are joined by manual twisting/welding and the first wire (1209) is capable of withstanding bending cycles moving over threaded/grooved rod (1203) and oscillated along its length by to-fro rotation of splined shaft (1204).
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING FOAM PANELS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF FOAM FILMS
A process can be used for producing foam panels, for the production of foam films, composed of a polymer having a glass transition temperature T.sub.g of at least 100° C. An average cell diameter of the foam panels measured according to the standard ASTM D 3576 is between 20 μm and 250 μm, and less than 20 cells having a diameter >260 μm are present per m.sup.2. The elongation at break of the foam is 4%-13% measured according to ASTM D 638.
Insulated Wall Panels & Turcotte Sculptor
Insulated, load bearing wall panels are machined from a raw foam slab of foam material. The raw foam slab is loaded into a Turcotte sculptor. The Turcotte sculptor is an elegant 36-axis machine that machines the raw foam slab into one or more insulated foam wall panels. The Turcotte sculptor, in particular, may accept very large 18x4x2 feet slabs of foam material. The Turcotte sculptor then individually commands and actuates any of 36 linear actuators to produce the one or more insulated foam wall panels. The Turcotte sculptor, within minutes, simultaneously machines the raw 18x4x2 foam slab into two (2) 9-feet tall wall panels for 9-feet ceilings. The Turcotte sculptor may easily machine other wall sizes. The Turcotte sculptor thus efficiently and quickly volume produces entire one-piece, single-height insulated wall panels at reduced cost and with outstanding energy performance.
Eye model
An eye model comprises a sclera simulation which is made of a bright plastic material and a pattern which contrasts in color with the sclera simulation, the pattern simulating an eye pupil and/or an iris structure. The eye model is used to calibrate an eye tracking system.
