An automated food preparation apparatus configured to provide a completed provision, such as a bagel, optionally toasted, and optionally with a spread. The automated food preparation system includes a food placement and pickup station, a cutting station assembly, a toasting station assembly and a spread applying station assembly. The provision is directed between the station assemblies through a grasping, locating and moving system. The system includes a plurality of food engaging forks that are configured to releasably grasp the food preparation, and, in turn, to locate and move the food preparation therethrough.

The present invention relates to a device which is for peeling fruits and root vegetables and has the effect of easily removing the entire peel of a fruit or root vegetable at once so that none of the peel remains, and cutting the fruit or root vegetable into multiple pieces.

A device includes a blade, which is movable within an associated working space for cutting product units, and a conveying device in which the product units can be individually conveyed into the working space of the blade. The conveying device includes at least one two-part conveying channel associated with the blade, in which on one side first conveyor elements and on the other side second conveyor elements are guided, which are assigned to one another in pairs and which have each a recess for partially receiving a separated product unit. The sides of the first and second conveyor elements, which are facing one another, delimit therebetween the free working space, so that the blade is guidable within the working space partially or completely through the product units held in the first and second conveyor elements which correspond to one another.

A bagel slicing guide includes two narrow horizontal slots in two opposite sides. The guide includes a base and the sides reach up from opposite edges of the base. The slots are in the sides and spaced above and parallel with the base, the slots guiding a knife blade to establish a thickness of a sliced bagel or roll. The slots include at least one enlarged slot end to facilitate entry of a knife blade tip into the slots. The sides are short to provide a compact envelope not requiring very much storage space. The guide may be plastic or a single piece of metal, preferably stainless steel, and more preferably as single piece of stainless steel sheet bent to create the sides.

A manually-operated, foodstuff slicer includes a top plate and bottom plate coupled together and housing a cutting blade within a recess formed between the plates. The top plate and bottom plate include spaced, circular holes defined therethrough and axially aligned, respectively, and the planar cutting blade having a handle and a plurality of circular holes which correspond in size and shape to the holes defined through the top and bottom plates. The fixed cutter is fixedly disposed inside the base, the movable cutter base is optionally positionably moves between protruding and retreating positions axially, the movable cutter base has a movable cutter, when the movable cutter is in the protruding position, a blade of the movable cutter is near a blade of the fixed cutter, and when the movable cutter base is in the retreating position, the blade of the movable cutter is remote from the blade of the fixed cutter. The carrying face faces the blade of the fixed cutter and is able to approach the blade of the fixed cutter.
